Don't let the pressure get to you, all you can do is try your best. |

Do you study in front of them? Or do you just lock yourself in your room to study?....if it's the latter I suggest studying in the livingroom/kitchen where they can SEE that your studying and putting some effort into it....maybe every once in a while ask your mom or dad 'hey is this how you would go about solving this problem?'....good luck |

I'm getting 52.5 percent.. And I do most of my hw and I've passed all my quizez and tests except for 1 test.. What I'd do is tell them that you are, and if they don't believe you then it's ok cuz you know that your trying your hardest and that's all that matters.

THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENS TO ME! I TELL YOU..IT SUCKS! I TRY SO HARD AND I STILL FAIL TESTS! Its really depressing! I had a test done last year on reading and it shows that i am low in my skills of reading but not low enough. That sure sucks and here I am 17 in 11th grade and can barly pass the classes now. For college wise, everyone thinks i am nuts to go because i don't do well in high school. Well, if only my cheap school of 500 kids would give me so help, but there so darn lazy. They tell me try your best. Think positive. YEAH RIGHT! Has not worked for the past 10 years. I sure hope if I go to a community college, I can get tested again to see my REAL problems and have them taken care of instead of ignored. HOW I HATE MY SCHOOL! |

extra credit in high school...they think its for babies..i do too do well on most homework but that is because i have to ask everyone for the answers because I still don't get it. Sometimes..I wonder why I was even born to be so dumb. Its really depressing! Everytime I see a test with an F, I want to cheat on the next one so badly, because my parents get so mad at me and they do know that I try my best too. That is the sad part. But what do they know..they are high school dropouts. |

I think a tutor may help. If you can't get one then maybe an older student or a friend would be willing to help. |

Honey don't stress yourself out. I've seen the math they got you guys doing these days. I went to college and I'm an accountant and your math freaks me out. My son cured me of the nagging "you can do better" speech when he asked me to help him with his homework. Show your parents how hard this stuff is and THEN they will understand. As for the tests...keep studying. Don't give up and someday it will all come together. You're not doing THAT bad. :) |

I was in Algebra 2 at the beginning of this year, it was way too much for me though so I dropped it and went down to Algebra 1. Is there anyone you can get to tutor you? that could help. Well good luck and don't feel bad, that is one hard class! |

Maybe your teacher isn't a very good teacher. You should probably go after school or before school and get help on the hw. Do as much of the hw at home as you can, then go in the next day and have him or her help to show you what you're not doing right. If your teacher doesn't help, ask another math teacher to help you. It's better to ask a teacher than a tutor because you won't have to pay them! That's what they're there for. I used to be horrible in Algebra too, but once I got a good teacher I'm doing much better. I really love algebra actually! So really, go in to see your teacher. They won't bite! :-D Lol! |

why don't you do studying at the kitchen table.. that way your mom sees you do it... or ask her to help explain it in an easier form |

Personally I would start a little sooner... never hurts. But, best place to study at is not in your room, and not in a room where distractions could be(TV, Radio that are on), maybe in the kitchen. Occasionally feel free to ask for your parents help, especially if you are not seeing a solution, or even ask if a friend can come over once a week to help go over material together. It helps... jsut some ideas. -- |

Sounds like you don't have a problem understanding your work . It sounds like you have a problem with tests . My friend is the same way . Ask to get tested for a LD. if you don't have one you can still get help with your tests :) |

Go to your local college and check the bulletin board for available tutors. Also, ask the math teacher who the best student is, and then go to that person and say you need a tutor. You'll get better! |
