Ok, I got my eBAY ring today, solid silver with a beautiful amythist and platinum coated. The platinum looks absolutely amazing! OMG I cannot believe this ring. It is breath taking. BUT One problem. See, I knew that my wedding rings are size 7, so that is what I ordered. Well, duh me, forgot that no other finger is the same size. JUST my ring finger. I would like to get it resized, but have no money to do so. I mean come on, I want it perfect, and platinum is very expensive. So what should I do? I'm NOT going to take off my wedding rings, I mean it's bad enough my hubby cannot wear his because of his not having knuckles. It jst slides off no matter what. Needless to say as well it is just a solid white gold puddle somewhere in a trash dump due to it being on our dresser which was torched beyond recognition in the fire. So it's gone forever :( I tried to put my new ring on my pinky, and it fits, but very VERY loosely. Every other finger it is WAY too tight. ALSO, I have cold urticaria. (allergic to anything cold) So it's bad enough that if I forget to take my daily meds to avaoid swelling up like a balloon with hives, everything swells up and I have to take my rings off so they don't have to be CUT off. ALSO, just if you would like to know, my next pap is in Jan. to see if the cancer is gone. If it is, I will have engraved on the inside of this new ring "Cancer free 2004"

Date: 10/25/2003 8:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    take it to an independent jewler (Not a mall one) they resize rings fairly cheaply and alot of them can do it on site....I had my engagement ring resized last month (Yeah well over a year after I got it) took the guy 15 minutes and only cost me 5.00
Date: 10/25/2003 9:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    well with how much you paid for it it's not worth getting it resized... and seeing that it's only silver and plated(yes plantum is expensive but it's only plated with that.. and that can be effected when resized) heads up though... the plating will wear off in a few months(at most a year) and it will just be silver...
Date: 10/25/2003 10:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 58078    Get a ring guard or wrap a bandaid around it to make it tighter on your pinky.

Date: 10/26/2003 7:47:00 AM  From Authorid: 18527    In the future, Josten´s has a printable ring sizer :) you print it, cut it out and you can measure...
