Care to share your experiences with haunted houses put on for halloween? Like what was the scariest part, the best you have been to, do you go every year, etc?
Here is mine....
Last night we went to a 5 star haunted house and holy cow was it ever the best I have been to! It was a bit pricey($17 a head) but we figured that it's gotta be worth it if it has over 60 rooms of hauntings. Once inside, we entered an old Farmhouse and went through many rooms that were decked out and highly realistic! There was a decent scare in every room. I think one room that scared me the most was the attic, ew! lol. There was also a room that was set up as sort of like a mortuary and had a casket in it. We couldnt find a door to exit and then a creepy guy comes up to us and shows us the way out of the room...It was through the casket!! We went down in to the casket where it was pitch black and the ceiling wasnt more than 3ft high! We had to crawl out from underneath it!
Once through the farm house, we entered outside(inside the building, it was a makeshift outside) and in front of a castle. Inside the castle, it was all interactive where you had to study what was inside this treasure chest and after going through a few rooms you come to a crystal ball lady who asks you a question(ours was how many green stones..we were WAY off! LOL!), if you get it wrong, you give away your once chance back in.
We gave ours back and continued on to more scares and frights. We entered another room where you had to choose a key(there were 5) to open up one of 4 doors, hoping that the key you picked would allow you to continue on through the castle. We get through the right door and more spooks. We then come to a room that holds 7 staffs. Again, you have to pick the right one or you are out of the castle. We grabbed the wrong one and that was the end of our journey through the castle.
Why so interractive? There is a wizard at the end providing you get all the questions or right doors correctly. Once at the wizard, you challenge the wizard and win prizes. At the point we had to leave, we were in there a good 45 mins! Definately worth the money! We plan on going back to this attraction later in the week and going to try it again.
I think the scariest part of all this was the casket part, the attic and this room where something appears to come out at you and the room starts to shrink...it was wild!
