She’s only a child, so small and frail
In an environment beyond her control,
I wish we could take her away from it all
Because through it all, there is a kind soul.
She is with family, who are her guardians
When she should be with her father,
But unfortunately there’s nothing he can do
So should we really bother?
Of course we should, I strongly believe,
This child deserves so much more,
She should get to know the other side
Cause down the road, who knows what’s in store.
As her Aunt and Uncle
I wonder what we could do,
I only wish we had the money
So we could fight for her, it’s true.
I only pray that as she gets older
That she will learn the truth,
That she has another side of family
That loved her all through her youth.
