Is she or has she ever been even married to the guy? I don't see how he would owe her anything. I do feel sorry for her and her situation. I know it's hard to see know, but she must truly be troubled and hurting at some level to live such a life. I had a sister in the same type of situation....she is doing wonderfully well now and is the most wonderful person. Nevertheless, my heart goes out to you as her family...and to her children. I don't think people in her situation can see how much pain and destruction they are bringing to others. If I were the father of the children, I would find myself a really good lawyer...no matter what the cost....at least it would be money well spent instead of money thrown away on an unjust cause. I can see why this would all make you feel sick. I really can understand how you are feeling, I've been there. By the way, I have a sneaking suspicion that your father is supporting this idea mainly out of guilty feelings and pain he is trying to deal with himself. He may just think that he is actually helping her by giving her this idea....and not know that he is really just enabling her and allowing her to continue to not take responsibility for herself.  |
