I'm not home sitting in front of the computer right now.
I'm sitting on a beach in a white lounge chair, a beach umbrella shading me from the glare of the sun. I have a book open on my lap. Doesn't matter which book, just one that doesn't involve much thought, probably involves a good-looking Duke and a down on her luck beauty and has some s*e*x in it. It doesn't matter which beach, all that matters is the water is crystal clear blue, the sun warm, the sand white.
The screaming of my darling children disolves into the crash of waves hitting the shore.
The screaming of my five year old who was put in a headlock by the 14 yr old, is actually the screech of a gull soaring overhead looking for food.
Armuad, the hunky beach waiter asks me if I'm ready for another Pina Colada. I tell him, "of course, make it a double".
I lazily contemplate what to have for dinner. Lobster? Not again. Prime Rib? Not after so much sun. Sea scallopes in a light cream sauce served over a bed of pasta? Hmmmm, yes I think that would be light, yet filling.
I lazily reach my hand into the small portable cooler by my side. I pull out a Belgian chocolate truffel that is filled with smooth hazelnut praline. I pop it into my mouth before it has a chance to melt.
My vacation bliss is interrupted by a screech of "stooooop iiiiiit, STOP IT, ARGGGGGGGGGGGH, I WANT NICKALODIAN NOT DISNEY CHANNEL, NOOOOOOOOOO"!!!!
It was lovely while it lasted.
