Do I have some weird reaction to water? ~*~Danielle~*~

Hi everyone. This is really strange. I have noticed this for years but I have never done anything about it because I didn't think it was a big deal. I would like to know if it means anything though. Whenever I get out of the shower I have noticed that my legs have some weird red blotches all over them. They do go away after a short while though. I don't use to hot of water so I know I am not burning myself. They don't hurt either, they are just red and blotchy.

Does this happen to anyone else or do you know what it might mean?

Thanks!!

Date: 10/27/2003 7:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 25756    Does this happen when you go swimming too?
Date: 10/27/2003 7:37:00 PM  ( Admin-DNL )   Agent Q, I haven't been swimming in years so I can't really remember. LOL Becky, this has been happening for a really long time though so I don't really think its anything new in the water, although I guess it could be. Thanks everyone
Date: 10/27/2003 7:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    yeah I know it's been happening to me for as long as I can remember LOL I just always associated it with my hot showers though :p
Date: 10/27/2003 7:42:00 PM  ( Admin-DNL )   Maybe I am taking too hot of showers and I don't notice the heat for some reason. LOL :p:p
Date: 10/27/2003 7:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 45630    Does it occur on your face when you drink water?
Date: 10/27/2003 7:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 25756    Hmm....maybe you do have some sort of reaction then? I read this story in a magazine a while ago where this girl is allergic to water..but it's pretty severe and can only take a shower a week, and if she gets water on her skin she starts like bubbling up or something...I'd hate that! As long as it's not hurting and not staying for long, you're probably fine...:)
Date: 10/27/2003 7:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 53900    maybe the soap you use?
Date: 10/27/2003 7:46:00 PM  ( Admin-DNL )   Kurt, no it doesn't. Agent I know that would be awful! I am sure I'm not allergic to it, I think it would be a lot worse. I also feel sorry for people who are allergic to sunlight, that would be terrible.
Date: 10/27/2003 7:47:00 PM  ( Admin )   I love this place.. :D so friendly. :D
Date: 10/27/2003 7:49:00 PM  ( Admin-DNL )   Jessica I don't think so, I always use really gentle soap so it shouldn't hurt my skin. I don't think it is atleast.
Date: 10/27/2003 7:50:00 PM  ( Admin-DNL )   LOL isn't it Admin :p
Date: 10/27/2003 7:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 45630    maybe it's the water pressure!
Date: 10/27/2003 7:53:00 PM  ( Admin-DNL )   It could be that Kurt, i'm not sure. LOL I love everyone trying to guess whats wrong with me. Whoever wins gets a prize.

Date: 10/28/2003 5:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 44321    Could it be that you are standing in there too long and it is just the circulation of blood in your legs ? I know when I stand too long in the shower my legs get blotchy with red and white dot looking things..if your worried call up the doctor and ask what they think :)
Date: 10/28/2003 8:43:00 AM  ( Admin-DNL )   Well Medusa I do tend to spend a lot of time in the shower so that definentely could be it. thanks everyone for the replies!
