Well, it just all comes down to what you want. iPods are nice. I have my old Intel one(they don't make them any longer), Lyra's are cool(are they made still?). Just depends on how much music you want to hold, if the answer is alot: iPod and Creative Nomad are about the only two to go with. If about an hour to 2 hours of music, go with one of the smaller Lyra's. -- |

I-Pod hands down. I say just get the 10GB one, because if you go any higher it can get very costly. Besides the 10GB can hold around 2,500 songs, or so I heard. I'm getting a Zodiac soon, but that's a mp3, plam, gaming thing all in one. I have a feeling the mp3 isn't going to be that good. |

If you haven't got the money to spend on an iPod, you could look into CD-mp3 players. I've got an iRiver SlimX, and it plays mp3s from CDs.. One CD will hold about 120 songs. But then, you kinda need a CD burner :p |

Ipods are mainly for people with Apple computers, although I think there is a way to run it on Linux programs somehow? I have a mp3 player from RCA, I've had it for 2 years and it has been nice. It came from BestBuy, and my dad just got a newer version of it. It doesn't hold quite all the memory as other players, but it's ok. You'll want to look for one with the largest internal memory possible, or you'll have to buy a card with a large capacity if you want to put a lot of songs on it. Since I have a pretty ancient one it's only got 32MB on it, and I had to get another card. |
