Bet everyone is horrified to see me back,huh? ^_^
"Oh my word,she's returned!"
Hehe!Just kidding!
Well,time to get down to business...*sighs*
I was (put that in italics for the emphasis,won't ya folks?)
drawing something.My chosen style of drawing is 'anime' which is the popular name for Japanese Animation.Japanese animation includes such legends as Rurouni Kenshin,G Gundam (There are many versions,such as SD Gundam,Gundam Wing,etc), Yu Yu Hakusho,Big O,Candidate for Goddess,Inuyasha,Cowboy Bebop,Chobits,etc. (PS:Much like american cartoons,many of these animes started out as Mangas,or japanese comic books.Beautiful works of art,you should get one,really you should!!)
Well,me being the idiot I am,I also love a fairly wide variety of music.
Let me put it this way:I listen to Jpop (Japanese Pop and R&B,specifically Utada HIkaru.She's great!!)
When I listen to a song, I find myself emotional in one way or another.Sometimes I am blissfully happy,other times depressed,sometimes determined,others a failure.In any case, I love the songs that make me feel.In many cases,the songs that give me a certain emotion also play a story through my mind...especially the japanese ones ^_^;
You see,one song in particular,called 'Borderline' and sung/composed/lyricized by Chihiro Onitsuka, inspired me to do a 'full scale mural,' in my case meaning a whole page.
(If you haven't guessed,she is a Jpop singer as well.This songs is instrumental with on her on vocals...until the end,mind you!Beautiful song,you should give it a listen even if you don't understand a word of japanese!)
I'm lazy,sorry if that disturbs you in any way or offends anyone ^_^;
This song makes me think of someone overlooking the ocean,sitting amidst rocks on a cliff,her legs dangling above a literal death drop into the large expanse of water,a few jagged rock at the bottom. It is sunset (Or should be), and the girl is supposed to be looking far out into the ocean and beyond.Her hair whips around her face in wild abandon,and her mouth is slightly open as though she is grieving. I love drawing eyes especially because, as I have heard many say;"The eyes are the window to your soul." I would love to say they are my specialty (What I draw best ,for those few who do not happen to know ^_^; )
My problem is this:
I love to draw eyes,but the expression in the girls is a profound one.
I envision longing,a wistful gaze but not entirely surreal,despite the scenery. Enraged, yet desperation and a profound sadness.
I have even tried to draw this expression on the back of the paper,but I can't seem to get the expression.Although I can see it in my head,vague and elusive as it is to capture, my hands are not my mind and I can't seem to bring it out.
From my observations in the experience,her eyes cannot,MUST NOT,squint...maybe a bit at the front,but the determination means her eyes must sparkle,therefore must be large enough when I color this thing in.Currently,the entire page is pencil and paper.The color pencils come in when I am done and only then.
Could anyone here please offer some very much needed advice or instructions?
If you know the expression I tried my best to describe, pleeease tell me how to do it if you know how! IF you have't drawn this expression successfully,but have seen a picture with the expression or something like it,please send it to me!I could reeeallly use the reference! I am thinking of giving this drawing to a friend for her birthday.Her sister,she,and another friend are great drawers when it comes to the anime style,and I would hate to disappoint.
Please help me and tell me before her birthday,which is the fifth of November...three days from tonight!
Please,I beg of you!
I need your HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!
`/)_(\` <---(Covering eyes with hand.It's actually kind of cute when you can see it,lol.Sorry,I needed a slight distraction from my desperation.)
