Smoke why?

I never understood you,
You never understood me,
Whenever I looked at you you were happy as can be,
yes, you are stubborn to stop smoking,
When I told you to stop smoking you looked at me like I was joking,
May I ask you why you did this to me,
Your barely alive I am happy yet scared as can be,
I tried to save you from this place,
Since you didnt listen to me you gotta lot to face,
Do you believe what I say to you is true,
How can I get it through to you,
Smoking is like cutting yourself before you go to sleep,
You actually never know how far your cuts are deep,
Both are deathly addicting and dumb,
I know that you are smart but I think your brain is numb,
When smokers hear the consequences they say that wont happen to me,
28 years later they're in their deathbed sick as can be,
If I had a time machine I'd go back and take the 1st cigarette out of your hand,
Maybe you could have joined choir or the band,
You could have been a singer and made alot of money,
You took it all as a joke but it's not funny,
I don't understand why you do the things you do.


Statement: Someone deciding to smoke is like a fish that refuses water.
