I had an infection in mine. That's when they hurt, or so my dr said so. They gave me meds and they still hurt but I guess the infections gone..*shrugs* who knows. Anywayz, I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out Dec. 2nd. I was supposed to get it done yesterday, but the laughing gas thingy was broken..I was soo ready too. *Good luck*  |

ouch! been there done that. lol. i had all 4 wisdom teeth and 2 back molars pulled all at the same time about a year ago. 2 of my wisdoms were pushing up against my other teeth (that is what made my molars have to come out as well.) they were infected too and they hurt! i felt alot better after they were pulled. i hope yours feel better soon too.  |

If i understood my dentist right when I had an infection they don't like to take them out until a few rounds of antibiotic are in you because the infection could spread.  |

i started my antibiotics today... let metake a look at my x-rays (I need them for the ortho on the 5th)yeah they are but the top ones are trippy... theyre like above my other teeth and they are like pushing against my other teeth...  |

I had an infection in my wisdoms. they ripped em out and i didn't have any more problems. basically you teeth are abcessing and they NEED to come out. But hey, they give you some good pain meds. :)  |

What the dentist is talking about is not the actual teeth getting infected. Your teeth must have cut the gums, then didn't heal right away, and started growing bacteria in them. The anti-biotics should kill the bacterian in your gums. Abscessing is when your teeth are pushing against your gums causing swelling and possibly fluid to build up.  |

I think i am in the same boat your in. My bottom wisdom teeth are coming in and ouch, but i dont want them to come out cause ouch more. My top ones came in and now the bottoms but they hurt so bad. The gums are growing back over one of them and it is so hard for me to eat. I dunno what to do, cause i dont want them pulled or anything cause im sure they will come in fine eventually, ir i hope so.  |

I had an infection in mine also. My wisdom teeth are pushing on the nerves of the teeth next to them making my jaw weak and achey. They gave me some antibiotics for the infection and by the time i was done the infection was all gone! Not really a big deal, it happens all the time! Lindsay  |

Pika baby, just imagine the boat I'm in....I get to have mine out any day I want. All I have to do is drive to MIlwaukee and bingo, no more wisdom teeth. I am comfortable with it now. No biggie, they hurt, so I want em GONE! BUT the second we get there, I'm gonna be scared. I know it hurts after they get cut out too, but I cannot take pain killers like you all can. Vicodin, and tylenol 3 make me sick. Really sick. Alot more do too. So when I get mine pulled, I am gonna have MAJOR issues with coping with the pain. They should just give me morphine. At least I know I can handle that, but I'll be a huge giggly bowl of green jello for a week.  |
