Do you think an appropriate gift is ok to be homemade or store bought? Do you make your gifts or buy them? Is a homemade gift more meaningful than a store bought gift? Which do you like? Which holds more meaning?--Moon Girl

Date: 11/20/2003 8:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 53054    If you have the time i think that homemade is so much more appriciated! Well for me it is! I love homemade things that are given to me, because the people have taken the time to actually made something just for you! Its a special kind of gift! *hugz*
Date: 11/20/2003 8:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    depends on what the home made item is.. you can only take soo much home made display craft items, but then again you can only take so much store bought of the same thing

Date: 11/20/2003 9:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    Homemade for sure! I have so many necklaces of macaroni and pottery of every shape you could imagine. But I remember each and every one, each year and time it was given. A gift from the heart is everlasting!
Date: 11/20/2003 9:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 15675    Well for my sister's xmas gifts I bought them 2 things and burnt them a CD (lol dont boo me I copied it from one I already BOUGHT :p). I think their both equally good
Date: 11/20/2003 9:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    My husband makes and crafts many wooden bowls, vases and jewelery boxes for all of our girls and our family. Many are given as gifts and I see them displayed, I've seen how much the girls appreciate the love and time taken. A gift made with love is special indeed.
Date: 11/20/2003 9:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 13546    I love homemade gifts.. *nods* .. I think they hold more meaning, because they have that "personal" touch.
Date: 11/20/2003 9:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 62410    To me, just the fact that someone - anyone - considered to give me a gift, is more important than whatever material thing it is they brought me, whether homemade, or store bought -- to me the moving sentiment is what captures my heart. Scall
Date: 11/20/2003 10:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hi Moonie :) I make weird little things to give to Sangelina. She always makes a big fuss over them and says how much she likes 'em. Of course, I usually get her store bought things also..lol..Write on...:)
Date: 11/21/2003 6:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    My girls are making bracelets and necklaces to give to relatives for christmas. I personally am happy with whatever someone gives me, in fact, i really don't even want christmas presents, I'm happy giving. Maybe it's my age, or maybe I know no matter what I say, my mother is going to buy me as much as i use to get when I was a kid..mom goes crazy at christmas.
Date: 11/21/2003 10:48:00 AM  From Authorid: 53909    It depends in my opinion. My bf has been making a lot of homemade candles for a lot of people to give to their family and friends. I would like to give a homemade gift but I wouldn't know what to give.
Date: 11/21/2003 11:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 32133    it depends. a really nice homeade gift like alot of ones in the usm mall are great. but those little angels you made out of closepins in 1st grd arent gonna cut with your g/f but maybe ur mom.but i uaually buy them.
Date: 11/21/2003 12:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 42945    homemade gifts are made with love that is passed on to that person, I appreciate store or homemade things, but I do know that gifts that were made by the giver, were made specially for me, and I think that's wonderful.....hugs Grammy
Date: 11/21/2003 3:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 8941    I've done it both ways. I don't think that a gift is more meaningful because it is homemade...sometimes you get things that you really need (store bought) that maybe you can't afford to get yourself, and that does mean a lot because someone took notice that you needed it, and got it for you. I like both :D
