The night’s sky lights up, Its only you and I. The road laid out endlessly, Till the end, destined together to die.
At top speeds, We witnessed so much. One hand on the wheel, The other gripping the clutch.
And off we would soar, The wind against our face. Laughter in the air, Living life at such a fast pace.
From the beginning I knew, Your smile assured me you were the one. With instant glances, All past horrors were gone.
Our joys could be heard, Doing 70 on the highway. Living our life to the fullest, As any day could be our last day.
Our names alongside freedom echoed, From deserted farms to the city life. The tyrants of the free world cried, As they witnessed you becoming my wife.
The nights cried with elation, As the angels danced with delight. Understanding our missions, Against the injustice we were to fight.
How could I forget the color red, As it was your favorite. From the dresses to that infamous hat, Such passions you never hid.
Our families were so far, We had only each other. Remember the red beans? The cheats we had to stutter?
The jokes that could never be erased, The memories which will never be forgotten. Just you and I, Bonnie and Clyde, A bond never to be forsaken.
