When I had my wisdom teeth done Advil worked better for me then the pain pills they gave me. Tell them how your tummy is and they should prescribe something good for you that should work |

As far as pills, I've no idea. I'm the same as you. You can, though, buy these swab like things at a pharmacy for your teeth that have morphine in them. I can't remember what they are called, but I'll ask my hubby when he wakes up. They're great. You just break a little thing and put the liquid on the swab. Swab where it hurts and it feels better for hours. |

I'm not sure... trying to think.. Toradol is a good anti-inflammatory, as well as pain-reducer. So are the stronger medicines you can get over the counter like Aleve, Orudis (a ketoprophen, a much stronger form of Ibuprofen), or just maybe ask for 800mg ibuprofen, and make sure you either take it with milk or applesauce, so its not on an empty stomach..I'm trying to think about my med knowledge... I know when I had my wisdom teeth out, they gave me Percocet, but that's the same class as darvocet for you. Vicoden, maybe? Let the doc know ahead of time that you're sensitive to your stomach...sometimes even Compezine(Sp?) will help at a small dose in addition to the pain med. to counteract the nausea. I'm speaking as someone who had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed, took nursing classes for year, then later went on to get a correspondence degree as a medical assistant, even though I don't currently work. So I've had pharmacology courses... I'm not just naming drugs off the top of my head here. Hope this helps, and good luck to you. Take care, and feel better. If I can be of any more assistance, message me. --Christine |

Have you tried loritab (generic: hydrocodone) - I have a very volatile stomach (everything upsets it) as well as having had ulcers. However, the hydrocodone did not upset my stomach... |

I think you can inject opium derivitives, like Codeine and Morphine, with a syringe. That way they wouldn't make your stomach upset. |

I recommend Advil Extra strength. That is what the dentist prescribed for me after I had three teeth pulled and the gums stitched up. They worked for me. |

it's probally the condine you should go to your doc and ask for a pain killer that does not have it in it... i found though when they put me under at the hospital and took them out i had very little pain afterwards i was just sick for a day and weak and they bled really bad |

I am the same way, and my doctor always prescribed me phenergen (sp) along with the pain killer. It's a medicine that calms down your stomach so that the pain med doesn't upset it. Good luck!! Love, |

I'm not sure of what kind of strong pain medication is good for people with stomach problems. I would make sure my dentist/doctor knew about this problem to make sure you don't get prescribed something you should not. Any of the stronger pain medicines just knock me out and make me useless for anything but sleeping. When I had my impacted wisdom teeth cut out some 20 years ago, I took pain medicine the first day. After that I did not need to take anything. Hope it goes well for you. |

that stuff dose not sit with my stomach either. when they took my 4 w-teeth out they gave me vicodin ,but after the initial soup of drugs they sent me home on wore off It really didn't hurt that bad so I just used the ibuprophin sp? they gave me for sweling and was fine. (just DO NOT use a straw or try to smoke anything)p.s. good luck and quick healing

They gave my brother Oxycodone, it's a strong painkiller, but not as storg (or as addictive, I don't think) as OxyCotin, and my brother has a real weak stomach, and it was fine on him. Erin- |

if you get your dentist to perscribe PHENERGAN 25MG. and you take it with the pain pill or a few minutes before, you should be fine. I have the same problem. i cleaned out my medicine cabinet a few yours ago and you wouldn't believe the stuff i threw out because they had to keep changing my meds. i had tylenol 3 & 4. (excuse the spelling....) perkaset, demerol, daravon, darvaset, loritab 500 & 800 and a few more i can't remember! now i just get the dr. to give me the phenergan with the pills and i don't throw up! i'm knocked on my butt while i'm taking them but anything is better than hurling! |

I can't take any of those either. They all made me dizzy or nauseous. I was precribed Ultram (tramadol), and it worked great without side effects. Good luck! |

I always take lortab 10's for my neck. They work good for me and don't make me sick. They'll probably work great for you since you're not used to taking them. |
