Ok, the people who are being kiled off contracts ended and since they are being payed that much they decided to move on and instead of replacing so many characters they had the salem killer plot.  |

I read a MB that said they intend to kill off Roman,Victor,Cassie and Tony as well...I am an Avid DAYS fan and have been watching for some 25+ years...I have NO Idea what the writters are thinking :(...I can't believe they killed off Jack just after bringing him back :(...I guess we'll have to wait and see what will happen now that Jan Spears is back and Chloe Lane is scheduled to return...Much Love In Spirit,  |

I've been watching DAYS for awhile myself, kind of grew up on it...and its more like they're trying to draw in a 'younger viewing audience' the 18-34 croud... read that in a magazine. I've stopped watching it, but I keep up on websites and stuff. All I know is, if they dare kill off Alice Horton, they can kiss the show goodbye...or at least they'd better...either that, or they'll have to rename it "Teens of Salem" or "Salem U". I don't want Jan back, that ticks me off... but I'm glad Chloe's coming back, maybe she can knock some sense back into Brady for going after Nicole. I know her return is just about 2 weeks though... I just can't take it anymore. I miss Craig and Nancy, Mike and Carrie, Vivian and Ivan..particularly the times Ivan was drunk. LOL. Most of all, I miss MacDonald Carey... who I think would probably be turning over in his grave if he knew what was going on at Days right now. Oh well. They're never going to get me to watch again.  |

AdminKG, so far the people who have died are Abe, Jack, Caroline and Maggie. Except for Jack who left the show for a while these people have been on here for around 20+ years. Moongirl, i could care less about cassie!! i wish they would kill some of the new people. What i heard was they got a new head writer and he came up with brilliant idea. It's some guy who was head writer a few years ago and victor ended up having a stroke and in a nursing home for a long time. they say he's cleaning house and getting rid of the older ones. all i know is he's making a lot of people mad. i guess i'll go watch days now!  |

Yes. James Reilly is back. He's the same guy who's head writer for Passions, and also the same 'genius' who came up with the devil possession storyline for Marlena several years ago, for those of you who remember back that far. So far the casualties are thus: (in order) Abe, Jack, Maggie, Caroline, Cassie, Roman (who dies New Years Eve), Tony. Suspects are Rex, Sami, Kate, Lucas, Nicole, Tony. I forget who else got cut from the cast recently. I don't watch anymore, but keep up with soap mags, and online sites with spoilers and such. I just can't bear to watch soap veterans that I love being killed off. (Though like many have said, I could care less about Cassie). They have brought Jan back, and she supposedly claims to have told Marlena her parents are dead, but that girl has never told a single word of truth in her life, although JERk <as he's 'lovingly' referred to on some message boards>, did claim that some murders would happen off-screen. Also, he said that we would learn the killers identity when Roman died on New Years Eve, and that this storyline would continue to play out through most of 2004. So, either prepare to sit back and watch, find a new soap, or grab the remote and change the channel! Sigh. Where comes the part where we all click our heels together and say there's no place like home? And its all a bad dream? But as I maintained in my earlier post, if Frances Reid (Alice Horton) gets a pink slip...I'm going to boycott Days, and write a strongly worded letter to NBC studios! A polite one of course, but I know that ABC and General Hospital recently cut Anna Lee's contract (Lila Quartermane) without even telling her...so if they do that to Mrs. Horton, what should we do? Flood the studio with donuts? LOL! |

I agree about the doughnut thing...I do believe at one of the online sites, you can actually get "Alice's" recipie, too. As for "Hattie" coming back, rumor has it that Dr. Rolf never really died, and that when Marlena went to Colorado to visit Eric, he and Stefano kidnapped her and replaced her with Hattie. Also, Chloe is coming back on Christmas, and she is supposed to know the truth about what happened to Jan's parents.
