i would talk to her and say "hey look you can't go doing this" that and never tell her anything like that again... it's annoying it's frustrating and it's too late to do anything else... you can return the dresses and get something generic... but it's frustrating |

I wish I could say something that would ease your heart over what is happening but I kind of feel sorry for the grandma as she must be desparate for the children to love her best for getting them special gifts that was your idea. I would try to act gracious and not let her know it bothers you that she stole your idea. You and your nieces will still have the special moments watching The Wizard Of Oz and nobody can take that away. The grandmother sounds more jealous than anything, don't you think? |

I agree with the admin. Talk to the mom of your niece and see if they could get a real dog...that looks like toto that would be awsome. As far as the dresses you got give it to them anyways, it would porlly mean more newayz seeing its your thing with them. |

You know, from reading this, I REALLY dont think she went and bought them intentionally out of spite..I mean she DID ask her Son and he DID say noone was buying them that he knew of. Im sorry you are upset, but look at it this way. The twins are getting something that they are going to love. I would buy them some stuffed animals of the cowardly lion, tin man and scarecrow. Something like that. Just stick with the Wizard of Oz theme. Christmas is for them afterall, and the goal is for them to be happy. |

My Mum used to have that problem with her sister. She'd tell her sister what she was buying us for Christmas and her sister would buy the same for her own kids. So, one year, Mum had two lists... the real one which she made no mention of and the "pretend" list which she told her sister about. That way, when her sister bought the same items of the "pretend" list, this ensured Mum and her sister didn't get their kids the same gifts! LOL. |

Love the Wizard of Oz..woohoo! My favorite movie. My suggestion would be to get them the accessories...the basket, the lollypop, the toto dog. Or...let me think...I know they have many wizard of oz cookie boxes. You could fill them up with christmas cookies or better yet Wizard of Oz cookies. Also, there are little Wizard of Oz beanie babies. They might be pricy if uoi try and purchase the WHOLE set but it would be nice to start the collection for them. Hmmm...or mabe you could buy them the WOZ blanket. I have it, its beautiful and warm so they can snuggle with it. I have a ton of Wizard Of Oz things @ my house and I was Dorothy one year. I have a cairn terrier puppy too:0) He was my toto. MSG me if you'd like more ideas. |
