Yeah I rented SWAT and THe Core last week...and I saw Love Actually a couple weeks ago so here is my take on these movies.
=========== S.W.A.T ===========
Rating out of 10:
Cast - 8 (Good actors...each really go well with each other
Plot - 4 (Really terrible...story...dumb...predictable)
Action Scenes - 7 (Some really good shots, but some got way too long then what they should be...)
Acting - 9 (In general pretty good)
Overall Comment: Good movie to rent out...but wouldn't pay the price for a movie ticket to watch it...it's a good ..."stay home and watch TV kind of movie" nothing else...wasn't overlly impressed but it was okay...
=========== The Core ===========
Rating out of 10:
Cast - 10 (Great diversity of actors...the characters well protrayed)
PLot - 8 (NOt the usual...big asteroid crashing down the earth...it was different...realistic?...heck no)
Action scenes - 5 (POOR and i mean POOR graphics..)
Acting - 9 (in general well played)
Overall COmment: I was impressed...I really wanted to see that movie in the movie theaters but missed it, rented it..and I was impressed...the story was great..would be freaky if something like that were to come true..but good movie... don't expect much graphic wise but still a great movie to watch.
=========== Love Actually ===========
Rating out of 10:
Cast - 10 (they got a ton of good actors in there..and since my two fav's are in there Hugh Grant and COlin FIrth i MUST give it a 10 ahaha)
Plot - 7 (was ok...remember it's not ONE plot...it's several stories...all in one, most of them very predictable though)
Acting - 10 (gotta love british actors)
Overall Comment: It was more than what i expecte.d..was expected to be watching an ordinary romantic comedy...but was funnier then that...but considering i Live in Asia..wheere cencoring is really STRICT...they cut out about 25 minutes of the movie...so don't know WHAT i missed...but overall a funny movie..
