We were joking around and laughing- both of us in a very good mood. It was then that I looked at a large tree not far from our cabin. A strange shadow was being cast on it, and a horrible presence was eminating from it. I pointed to the tree and asked my friend, 'What's that?' She turned to look at it, gasped, grabbed my arm and said, 'Get in the cabin now!' We both ran inside, breathless from fear. I was so terrified that my stomach began to hurt. That night, everyone in camp saw something or other that they just couldn't explain. How it changed my life: I have encountered 'ghosts' for years, but up until then, they had not been very frightening. After that day, I have encountered several terrifying 'spirits'.
