You really shouldn't do it. Smoking a cigarette will increase your blood pressure which can break your blood clot and cause your tooth to start bleeding again. I've never heard of dry sockets with regular teeth pulled, but I had my wisdom teeth pulled with stitches and stuff. They explicitly told me not to smoke (I don't anyway) because it can cause you to have dry sockets. I would stay away from it if I were you just to be safe. |

Don't do it, the possible outcome may not be worth it. |

honestly you shouldnt do it and risk infection gauze wont help... think of it this way, you have an open wound in your mouth right now do you really want to put horrible chemicals in and around it? |

Yeah. I think it would just be a really bad way to get an infection, and you don't want that in your mouth. That happens, no smokes, lots of meds, and well....the rest that it comes with. I'd just tough it out and wait. |

I did it, and I got a HORRIBLE infection, so my advice would be no. I know you don't want to hear that, but trust me you DO NOT want a dry socket. It is HORRIBLE pain. Love, |
