I live in Hawaii and in school we learned about Hawaiian history. They had a Great White God visit them also and he said that he would come again. When Captain Cook came to the islands, the people thought that he was the Great White God that their ancestors talked about. But they found out later that he wasn't.  |

African American tribes in olden times? Seems to me the Africans were just brought here a few centuries ago. Eskimo's knew Jesus? Im sure that would be news to them. There was however a white man who sailed to this hemisphere. He was an Irish Monk named St Brenadan and it is generally believed he made more than one Voyage and this is before the time of Columbus. He also promised to return. Perhaps this is the mystery white man who came and taught the natives things. Im not saying that Jesus didnt come to what was then considered the new world, afterall we know he travelled extensively in Europe but I dont think he made it over to the new world.  |

HOw do you know that their translation for "white" is the same as white skin? It could be white and in bright for light? So who knows, anyways Jesus wasn't white.  |

In the Book of Mormon, it speaks very definitively about Jesus going to those in South America, after he arose! And with all the lawyers in the world trying to say Book of Mormon is not true, they have not been able to disprove one fact!! And it was written long long before we had the knowledge of that land or those peoples. So, who else might he have appeared to, that we just don't have a record of! Very good post, I think! I know the Aztecs had a legend of a white God (I think it was Chutulu or someone with a semi-simular spelling.) When Cotez and his conquistidors arrived, the Aztec leader Montezuma believed him to be that god, and welcomed him to his Kingdom. Too bad he didn't realize what the Spanish were going to do until it was too late, thus the end of their civilization.  |

Well, the Native Americans did have and do have Buffalo Calf Woman, and she is always depicted as rather fair skin! ANd she spoke for the Creator, I believe! And who says Jesus always had the name Jesus, if he appeared to other cultures. I mean in I were an African in Africa or an Indian in the America's or an Oriental in the Orient 2000 years ago, I just might have looked upon a white person (especially if I had never seen one) with a great deal of suspicion. Sounds much more reasonable that he would appear in each culture as one of their own. IMO! Love and Light |

There is proof that some of the earliest people, the Sumerians, had God's Word. I believe that all people/tribes of the earth had their beginnings from Adam and Eve, and God had from the beginning made His law known to all. As people began to multiply, some kept God's teachings, but others began worshipping others gods. Regardless, all the nations and tribes which arose at anytime had the Word of God available unto them, but many refused it and chose to believe and to teach what they wanted. It is still that way today. Anyway, I do recall, years ago, reading about this "White God" but I don't recall much of the details now.  |

St. Pete - Jesus' appearance to these people was in his resurrected form. Yes, his physical body may have been olive skinned, but it's possible that his glorified, resurrected body appeared fair, if not white. There are cave drawings and other writings that speak of the "Great White Spirit," so it stands to reason that to those people, Jesus' skin appeared to be fair, even white.  |
