Well, I put this under General Interest, as I am sure you are all just Generally Interested in this. LOL! I have been out of touch, and almost out of reality for the past couple of years. First, a year and 1/2 ago I left my husband, then my beloved brother, only 48 and the last of my immediate family (not counting my kids), passed away last February and then Moonpriestess and Grandkids moved to Alabama last April, and I think I just kind of died. When my beautiful Rottie passed away on Christmas Eve this year of old age, it seemed I just was not needed any more. But, lotsa praying, lotsa love from my kids and grandkids and even my ex LOL!, finally got me going to doctor and checking on some medical problems and with a pretty much clean bill of health, I decided it was time to enter life again. I am adopting a a Beautiful BabyGirl Wolfdog! She should be born in late March/early April and I will drive to Durango, Colorado when she is 3 weeks old to pick her up and bond with her. She will be 80% wolf and 20% Malamute, and the most beautiful creature on God's beautiful earth. She is about 3rd or 4th generation out of the wild, and her parents and aunties and uncles are very well socialized, and are raised with kids, chickens, kittens, etc. The wolfdogs are companions for life, and as I now live out on 7 acres in the Texas Hill Country, I needed a companion, and a little protection. SOOOOOOOOO, I AM SO EXCITED, and just had too share this with all of you!

Love and Light

How it changed my life:

I feel like I have someone to take care of and to love again!

Date: 1/30/2004 11:11:00 AM  From Authorid: 5353    Yep, Dreamer is right, I am jealous. :) I wouldn't know where to look to find something like that in this area, although I'm sure they would be available as I know there are wild wolves further north of here, and probably some tame ones as well. I you two take very good care of eachother. :D
Date: 1/30/2004 11:12:00 AM  From Authorid: 3648    Aww congrats on your new bundle of joy coming! I think it's great! Can't wait to see the pics!

Date: 1/30/2004 11:14:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Oh, SilverHour, I am truly so excited. And, it was not a decision made lightly. Much much research, because of grandkids and safety. But, the more generations out of the wild, the more trainable (less pigheaded) they are! And you know that wolves are not vicious; they hunt to eat!! And this baby will NOT have to hunt for her dinner! Thanks again for the thumbs up! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 11:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 19092    Congrats my friend. There are no better friends then the canine type. Keep us posted and post pictures too!! I can enable the picture option for you at http://cairparavel.org
Date: 1/30/2004 11:16:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Thank you so much, Grey Eyed Girl! It is so good to see you and to hyave your well wishes. All I ever wanted was to finally be free and not having someone always thirsty or hungry or need clean clothes; and soon as I am free, I can't stand it! Some of us just have to have someone to love!! At least I won't have to wash and iron her clothes! Again, thank you so much! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 11:17:00 AM  From Authorid: 33517    I am so happy for you and the new addition that will be coming to you...I hope to see pictures..because I don't think I have ever seen a DogWolf before...**Big Canadian Hugs**
Date: 1/30/2004 11:18:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Thank you Apirition! The Mama and Daddy are about the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen in my life. Was concerned about it being to hot here in Texas, but they assured me (not the Mama and Daddy, the owner) that wolves do just fine and Texas and used to be very plentiful! Wish it wasn't so long till April. Feel like I am preggers or something! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 11:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 11528    Fantastic Lightworker. I really hope You told the old pizza crust eater first, otherwise that title could short circuit his ticker. Bonding with a Young animal is a beautiful experience. You,ve made a wise choice and the rewards will be immense. Wonderful news. Take Care. Bye for now. Enki
Date: 1/30/2004 11:23:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Hi, King! So glad you put that address down again, as I was going to have to go all the way back and find the post that we talked on when you gave it to me! Was just thinking about that last nite!! Thank you for being excited and happy for me! I have really been just paddling around in circles for the last year and a half, and I feel that finally, I am alive again. I have a little secret hope to someday be able to open a refuge for abused and unwanted Wolfdogs. They would not be pets, but if I get up the money over the next few years to get a 6-8 foot fence around an acre or two, I just may try to do that. But, THIS little bundle of love is going in my giant RV, 28ft, and I guess she will take the other twin bed. LOL Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 11:25:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Princess Rhiannon, I am sure BabyGirl will need a friend too! I was thinking of buying her a pet! LOL! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 11:28:00 AM  From Authorid: 12835    Be prepared for holes in the yard. They love to dig !!! So how is the ex anyway. We miss him here....well sometimes...
Date: 1/30/2004 11:30:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Awww, Enki, and wouldn't that just make me SO SAD to short circuit HIS ticker! Umm...better not go there. But, just in case anyone sees him, DON'T TELL HIM! A good surprise is always such a joy to see! LOL! And thank you so much, Enki, and I think you are so right about the rewards! You have a wonderful day! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 11:32:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    St. Pete, I don't miss him, I don't like him, and I don't want to talk to him! So much for that! Now, about BabyGirl! Yes, I have read about the holes and that they are excape artists and they take all your stuff from inside to outside; this should be a real trip; about like my grandson Alex, Moonpriestess's son. Good to see you, Pete! It really is! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 11:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 62267    I thought it was a baby when I first saw the title lol...Congrats..
Date: 1/30/2004 11:41:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Had to rewrite this to Tina Luck, as I could percentages all backwards. Anyway, thank you so much TinaLuck! Ya'll still have so many wolves up there, you don't need wolfdogs!! Can't own wolves here! But, as to what they look like, it has a lot to do with the percentage of dog that is in them and what kind of dog! These cubs are 80% wolf (McKinsey, Timber and Artic) and 20% malamute. So they look like wolves with a very long coat!! But, they come in all colors, just like regular wolves and they are huge! 28 to 30 inches at the shoulder!! Thank you again, Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 11:45:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    LOL, thank you Freaq! I don;'t think I met you before, but very glad to meet you now! Isn't this just so dumb!! I FEEL like a mommy to be! hink it has something to do with having to wait for 3 months! I'll be asking for sonagrams (sp?) next! LOL! Thank you for your congrats! Have a great day! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 11:52:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    And how do you feel about having a little sister, Ms.Moonpriestess? And HI ALEX, NANA LOVES HER BABYBOY ALEX! COME TO TEXAS RIGHT NOW AND GIVE ME A KISS? Love ya'll bunches and bunches and bunches

Date: 1/30/2004 12:05:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Thank you Jessica. I have specified that I would like to have a female, as I am really a weinie kind of person, and I figure it will be enough to convince HER that I am alpha, without trying to convince a MAN WOLF! LOL! Thank you so much! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 12:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 30986    I am very happy for you. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to my dog, he's a full blood husky. He is the most fun loving dog on the planet. I'm sorry about all the bad things that have been happening to you but I'm glad that things are starting to turn around. I just could NOT seem to shake it and pick up and go on! But, the clouds are lifted, the sky is beautiful and I am so excited to have a new companion and my USM friends to share it with! Love and Light to you

Date: 1/30/2004 12:44:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Well, St.Pete, if she is a Redhead, she will take after her Mommy! If she is a blonde, well......guess we will dye it black like her sister does! LMAO! LoVE AND lIGHT
Date: 1/30/2004 1:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 45397    Grats on the new addition soon to come. I noticed that nobody asked yet but have you thought of any names that you'd like?
Date: 1/30/2004 1:11:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Wyndrune (hope I spelled that right), thank you for the grats! And yes, a name is surely going to be a Big Deal. I love the name Spirit, as the wolf spirit is so awesome, but the name lacks a little pizazz! A friend suggested Spooky, which is really cute, but maybe lacks some majesty! My Rottweiller was named Snuggles, and that was just such an oxymoron (sp) that it was perfect. I wish I could hear wolf pronounced in Lakota, and maybe someone could tell me how to pronouce it. I know it is Something Tan Ka! But, it is funny you should ask, because I was going to ask all of ya'll to submit any good ideas you had later on when it was close to birth time. Thank you again, Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 1:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 58334    Oh congrats! I must say I'm jealous :-) I've always wanted a pet such as yours. You better post some pictures of your new arrival! :-D
Date: 1/30/2004 1:56:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    THank you so much, Nimawae(is that correct?)! I know what you mean about always wanting a pet like this, cause I have always wanted this too! I am just so lucky to be out in the country now, and to be able to have one! I will send you pics when she is born, and maybe someday, you will have one too! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 2:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 12835    Hmmm, wonder if Gina will read the dye comment....LOL...
Date: 1/30/2004 2:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    Heeeeeeeey ya know ya gotta go past me to go to durango :p
Date: 1/30/2004 2:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 50864    Gow wonderful wolfdogs are so beautiful I think they are something truly specail a link with something primevil if you will. Date: 1/30/2004 2:20:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Well, St.Pete, how many people do you see that are white as a ghost-toasty with blue eyes and black hair! Big Shock! Women in my family are weird! There is another natural blonde that does her hair black, too! Weirdos! LOL! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 2:22:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Do I really, Lil'Dewdrop? We will have to talk on this later, cause it sure would be fun to stop and have lunch or something. It is like, an 18 hour drive from here. LONG drive! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 2:24:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Aw, thanks, Ms.Strider! You know, they really do well with other animals! It has a lot to do with the breeder, I believe! I feel that I should maybe just get some kind of little pup to raise her with, so she would have a friend to prowl around with! So, if you have, you could have one too! And, they are so beautiful, and their song just speaks of times gone by and times to come! Their knowledge runs deep! Thank you so much! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 2:26:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Or, Ms. Strider, you could just move a little trailer on my land, and have your own wolfdog to play with mine. And then, we could open the Wolfdog Rescue place! LOL! Love and Light
Date: 1/30/2004 2:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Well, I wrote this and thought I posted it, but I guess not! I just figured out a minute ago that I am DENSE! I just realized why St.Pete and King mentioned "the one who is no longer allowed here"! It is because I said 'my Ex'! Well, wrong Ex! That Ex was 21 years ago. I was talking about my NEW Ex! LOL! And now that I sound like a regular "Woman About Town", let it be known that is the "Last" Ex! I am NOT good at marriage! Just me and my Little Wolfie!LOL! Love and Light

Date: 1/30/2004 4:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 45948    AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! It sounds absolutely adorable. Animals are a great way to bring light to any situation and I'm glad you are finally getting your dream pet!! Love,
Date: 1/30/2004 6:48:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Thank you so much, AngelEyez (what a beautiful name)! And you know, maybe that is why they say people live longer with pets. You feel needed! And this will be such a special baby! Thank you again! Love and Light

When grandson comes and stays with me, feel like I need a transfusion in about 2 days! LOL! God quit letting us have babies at a certain age cause he just really knew we couldn't handle it! LOL! Date: 2/2/2004 8:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hi, Lightworker :) I'm starting to get the drift now..Moonpriestess is your daughter?? She's cool and now I see why. She has a "mucho cool" momma.:) I can relate to the way you feel. I raised my two children, before they were grown, we had two nephews and a neice stay with us for three years. Then my daughter got a divorce and she and the two granchildren came to stay with us for another three years. Basically, had children in the house for about twenty-seven years. Then my daughter remarried and moved out. Sangelina and I were alone for the first time in ages and it felt strange. That's neat about the new pooch coming. They can sure help time pass. I'm planning on getting a chihuahua when I retire. Something I can put in my pocket and take off..hehe..Actually, I need it's ears, as I'm getting a little deaf..*wink* Welcome back and Write on..:)
Date: 2/2/2004 8:49:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    Thanks, Kronk! I forget everyone doesn't know Moonpriestess is my daughter! Yea, I figure BabyGirl WolfieDog ears HAVE to be better than mine! LOL! Then she can get the "monsters" as Moonpriestess's little boy Alex (my grandson) says, before they get me!! Have a great nite! Love and Light
