The whole neighborhood new about it....***TRIAD

Last October I went into a diabetic coma.

First my mother (& next door neighbor) had to find me in bed naked. Then an ambulance came screaming through the community and right to my door...then went wailing away with me as an unaware passenger. I then was given my first chopper ride to Seattle's Harborview Hospital...which I remember nothing of.

What's embarrassing is that just about everybody in my small neighborhood became aware of the comotion & came by and enquired of my parents about what the heck that was all about. They were all concerned & sympathetic, and some of them said they would pray for me.

My parents have a man lodging with them in their basement apartment. He too is diabetic and also has had the experience of being in a diabetic coma...so he was understanding and supportive.

I am embarrassed, in retrospect, with having stirred up the whole community...I am just glad that I wasn't awake during all the fuss. That would have been even more embarrassing.
