its a migrain sweetie. I get them too. ANY and ALL sound or light hurts my head like heck. I have a light outside my window and I went to bed with a migrain one night n i woke up n looked at my window and the lil light that was showing through my window hurt my head sooooo bad. I suggest going to sleep in a PITCH BLACK room with a heating pad on your head. It works WONDERS!! I get these headaches that send me to bed for atleast 2 days. I can't do anything. I move n starte crying (which hurts more) but I cant help by cry. I can't move at all. Everything and anything hurts it. it's a migrain. They are the worst :-( *feel better* |

Thx Sunshine...I am usually able to tolerate most pain but it hurt so bad and my kids just sat there looking at me like I was losing my mind. The neighbors had their music turned up really loud and that did not help at all. I could not make out what they were listening to although I knew it was some kind of rock song and all I could hear was it booming. It was kind of weird though because it was like every single sound was amplified 100 times... |

My daughter was really good though she kept trying to get the two boys to whisper instead of talking real loud...my middle son once he realized what was going on he was quiet but my youngest he is never quiet no matter where we are or what is going on. He has not quite grasped the meaning of his inside and outside voice. |

Dreamer Poet he usually just lays down a few times he has had them when we were driving. I learned a long time ago when he says he has a headache that means he either gets to bed or he is going to get sick. He has not had one in probably over a year though. I asked his doctor about it and he said it is fairly common for young kids to have migraines but they usually grow out of it. My best friends son had the same thing but by the time he was about 6 or 7 he stopped getting them also |

I defintely think you should mention that to your doctor! Maybe you should even call him and make an earlier appointment. It does kind of sound like migrane, which I do not get, but I have heard that migranes are only on one side of your head. Was your's like that? Also, my ex-husband started getting what is called "cluster headaches" about 5 years ago. They ar ekind of like migranes all over the head and they sound like yours also. He would have go into a dark, silent room and inhale oxygen for about 15 minutes and then lay there for an hour or so. He had never had them before, and then he had them on and off for about a year, then they went away and never came back. I had never heard of them till then. So, maybe it is that also! But, you want to make sure it is not a pressure kind of thing, so I would go to the doctor if I were you! Love and Light |

You know, TMJ can also cause headaches that are sometimes misdiagnosed as migranes. And if you have been very very tense, perhaps it could be that. When TMJ struck me, when I was about 42 or 43, I honestly thought I wanted to die. I went to an Ear, Nose Throat doctor that my regular dotor sent me to, think it might be some kind of infection in my head somewhere. But, as soon as he heard the symptoms, he immediately sent me to my dentist, who diagnosed TMJ! Muscle relaxers and pain relievers helped on a "right this minute" basis, but I had to do some serious de-stressing; as a matter of fact, now that I remember, I had to quit the job I had as it was a real high-stresser! Good Luck! Love and Light |

You know Banner I would think it was that I have had them before though and when I get those it is usually under my eyes where it mainly hurts...this was more across my forehead I think. I can usually tolerate the sinus headaches I get and they have never made me react to light with somuch pain...although I have had a few sinus headaches which have hurt just never as severe as the one I had tonight. |

Migraine. See a doctor, they can give you meds that can help. Ibuprofin is better than nothing, but really IS nothing compared to Imitrex, etc. |

YES! I get migraines alot, but my DR said the best thing to do is lay down somewhere where its cool, dark and quiet. Drink an ice cold coke or some kind of cold drink with caffine. Eat a chocolate bar. She said the cold and the caffine will reduce the swelling of the blood vessels or whatever that cause the migraines. It works wonders for me. Oh and I usually keep a pair of sunglasses handy incase a migraine starts while I'm in the store or something. |

I have had headaches like that many times. I hate when they get so bad that I anything and everything makes it throb, and moving my head the slightest little inch is like torture to me. I also sometimes get sick headaches where it starts with a regular headache but I get ill with it, and then I get the whole body ache headaches... sinus headaches... migraines... you name it. The bad thing is, when I get them really bad I have to just let them wear off on their own. If it's mild, I take excedrin (nothing I've ever tried compares). I've been to the doctor for them, but I've never been able to find real relief. |

I never get headaches like that thank goodness. Does sound like a classic migraine, but hopefully for your sake it was just a one time thing! Did you notice any kind of spots or flashes of light before the headache started? That is an aura that proceeds a migraine, which my husband gets. Poor guy, over in Iraq this past summer he had one that lasted 3 days. Can't imagine how that must have felt in the awful heat. |

I had a weird headache last night...it was like a migraine, but not quite because it sat behind my left eye and the pain was intense...I took two Excedrin and it finally went away an hour later after sitting in a dark room with no noise. It even hurt to move that eye.... |

oooh.. migraines.. i get those constantly.. try using Exederin Migraine... it doesn't always work, but for the most part it does, and it does a really good job.. but get an appointment with the doctor to see if they can prescribe anything or tell you exactly what it is.. until then, Exederin is great. |

I got diagnosed with MS in October of 2000, there were lots of small little clues to tell me, but I didn't know anything about MS, so how I was supposed to know. Well anyways, my point, and I do have one is I found out through a headache. I used to rollerblade ALL the time, I loved to skate but I kept falling down, I didn't understand why. Well I had a nasty scrape a nasty scrape there and then I bonked the heck outta my head. Well I had to put the skates up after that one. Well about a week later while at work it felt as if lasers were coming out of my eye and everything became really swirly. Everything was so loud, I got really hot, I can feel the beads of sweat forming, it was excrutiating. It was the worst headache of my life, one that I'll never forget unfortunately |
