I know I rant a lot lately, but it's my job. HMMMM, maybe that's a clue that I should find a new job. LOL Anyway, the department I work for at Amazon.com handles rebate complaints and replaces damaged items. No big deal right? WRONG!! I just want to know. Lets say you go to Wal-Mart and buy something for the rebate (says on the box that the rebate form is included in the box), get home and the rebate coupon is missing. Now, do you go back to Wal-Mart and yell at the cashier because you didnt get your darn rebate coupon, and threaten to call the Better Business Bureau? Or do you call up the software company and ask them to mail you the rebate coupon? I'm sure most of you would call the company and ask for the coupon right? Well, how does that differ from an internet company? We have rebate forms on the site, but a lot of our stuff does come with rebates that are only available in the box, and we have no access to those forms. Yet, people expect US to track down this missing form and get it to them. Are they being unreasonable? Or am I just overreacting from being yelled at by one too many irate customer today??
