A fragmentary glimpse of a lost passion, Taunting and prevoking me never to forget. Whilst I lie in the dungeons of Babylon yearning for death's release. Images of a young girls face, float beyond my reach. Her flaxen hair flowed in ringlets, Peridot eyes glowing, Her whisper fluttering in my ear, seducing and teasing. A single heartbeat between two bodies, love subdued. To awaken, cooing love's dampness, Brahimi smiles. Gently mocking, tongues of exotic pleasure, tenderly dancing. Eternities of time lay flowing before us. Not knowing why fate would tear us from one another. Years of stone have past, since mourning my beloved Brahimi. The hands of dying have stolen away my only sight. I am left with burnished shackles of gold and the tortures of time. And the wrench of yearning to see my beloved once more.
