I wake up and walk down the stairs quietly. I get my book and open the front door. I close it carefully. I don't want my family to wake up.
I walk down the sidewalk in the cold crisp air. It's still dark and barely no one is out. I open the gates to the park and walk in. I sit on the bench under the weeping willow and just watched the stars.
Time was slow. I took out my pen and opened my book. I start to write. "As I wait for the sun to rise, I only see my life slowly drifting away. My reflection, it's nothing but an empty body. The stars burn so brightly, but yet they are so small. The weeping willow cries with me, yet I do not cry anymore." I watch as the sun comes up over the grass, as the dew sparkles. Life was like that. Shiny, but so delicate. The slightest wind could make it fall.
I get up slowly and walk to the gates, still with my eyes on the sun. I turn away with tears in my eyes, walk through the gate, and close it. I see people on the street, and the cars on the road.
As the crowd on the streets get more and more larger, I started to dodge them. They looked right past me. The air starts to get warmer and I walk up the steps to my school doors.
I see the halls full of people, and I walk to my locker. I stand there. No one notices me. I'm never noticed. I look for one person. I see her walk to her locker. I walk with her to class, but we don't say a word to each other. I sit down in my seat. She has no idea.
I open up my book agai. "I hate myself. I can't believe I did this to her. But I needed to. I couldn't stand it anymore. I was going crazy."
I hear the princepal call her to his office. I take my book and follow her. No one notices me leave, as usual.
We walk in and I see my parents sitting there. I watch them as I stand by the door. As usual, they don't notice me. Leeta sits down quietly.
"Leeta, there's something we need to tell you. It's about your friend, Trinkette."
"Trinkette? Is she sick or something?"
"She....Last night she swallowed a bottle of aspirin when her family was sleeping. She left only a not for you. Her parents have respect enough not to read it." Leeta's jaw drops as she holds out her hand which is shaking with shock. She takes the letter and opens it. I walk behind her, and whisper it as she reads it.
"Dear Leeta. I did not mean for it to end like this. I can't believe you are reading this right now. I love you, Leeta. You are my best friend. But I was just so invisible. You were the only one there, and I'm sorry I couldn't stay here. I want you to take what you want first from my room. Even though I'm gone, we're still best friends forever. Love, Trinky." She choked out tears and couldn't stop after that.
My parents started to cry. I look at them, with tears in my eyes. I say I'm sorry to my parents, and say I love them, then I walk over to Leeta. I write in my book something, and slip it into her hands. She opens her hand surprised. She opens it up, and smiles a bit, and cries. On the paper she sees in my writing "Best friends forever."
