i do. like, i wanted to do an abstract picture of some photographer, so i printed his picture off and flipped it over just to see the basic shapes. your not weird, and if you are, then i am too. lol!  |

The best way I learned to draw was in art class in high school my teacher made us sketch a light graph over a picture, then an enlarged graph onto a piece of paper. This is what I do if I plan to enter any of my artwork in a contest.  |

No, I do it also. It was explained in detail, in a book called "Drawing with the Right Side of the Brain". Apparently turning it over, and making it a "non-picture" makes your right brain kick in, which is the creative side, so you can draw it better.  |

nah, im in an art class and one of our assignments were to turn a simple picture upside down to draw it because you dont know what the picture already is, so its suppose to be easier to draw, i did half the page, got fed up so i traced it tho LOL  |

Yeah thats a good way to exercise drawing skills but what also works is drawing in white on a black backround- very interesting.  |

I do it too, I usually invert the picture before printing it also, it helps with the detail.  |
