i agree with dreamer. first of all, killing yourself really wouldn't solve anything. right now, i am sure it seems like your whole world is falling apart. but it will get better. i think labor laws go by the hours they work a day. i m not 100% sure on that though. but i would just sit back and wait for his schedual to cool down a bit. then i bet you find your way together again. best of luck  |

you poor thing! while it is perfectly natural to be upset, dont do anything drastic. chances are once he gets used to working like that and things settle down a bit, you guys could work a way around it all and still be together. best of luck to you! :)  |

I don't know about where you're from, but here in Louisiana it is totally legal to work at 17. Heck, you can even move out on your own legally at 17. The only law that restricts anything is that any younger than 16 you have to have a work permit, then they can only work you 20 or so hours a week. Hope that helps. By the way, everyone is right. You might be feeling really down right now, but you shouldn't kill yourself. Think about it this way; maybe you're meant to find someone that wants to try to spend time with you no matter what his schedule is. Take care sweety !!!  |

thanks so much for all your help. im still really confused about everything and im hearing so many different things that i need to talk to him about. like i heard that he was using me and he likes other people or something and i guess i kinda freaked him out because i gave him the immpression that i was in love with him (which i really think i am but i know that neither one of us are ready for that committment right now) and i dont know who to believe. today has just been a horrible day and im so upset i feel like im going to throw up and my body is shaking and i dont know what to think but about him being with other people...he never had time. he was always at band practice and he told me who he was with and where he was all the time (not that i cared..because i trust him he just always told me) and we saw eachother at least maybe 2 or 3 times a week. (we go to different schools) and the way he sounded on the phone i could tell he sounded so upset. he said he was about to cry and he couldnt concentrate in school or do things that he usually does. like, hes a great guy and he has been trying to stop, but he smokes a lot of pot, and his friend had some but he was too upset to have any. and as for the job, he cant refuse it because his father has been after him to get a job for a long time and threatened to take his license away if he didnt get one. i just wish he could get a different job that didnt require so much time. and he has to take a drug test for this job and part of me is hoping he wont pass it and i know thats selfish. i dont know who to beleive right now but i dont want to make any assumptions until i talk to him. well thanks again for everything. *hugs* :) |

i talked to him yesterday about everything i was hearing and he said that none of it was true and i do believe him. he was pretty mad that people have been going around and saying all that stuff. now im just worried about keeping our friendship. i dont want to lose him. well ill keep you updated on anything else that happens. thanks everyone! *hugs* :)
