May I have your driver's liscense number please?" "Why? It's not like I'm going to be driving on the information highway!" Corina's laughter filtered through the phone intertwining with Mark's own fall-out. "You've got a nice laugh," Mark suddenly stopped and was quiet. Then under his breath he muttered in a haunting voice, "You idiot," before regaining his composure. "I'm sorry m'am. I need your driver's liscense number for verifying your identity if and when you have to call in for service issues." The chill had crept beneath Corina's skin and was rattling her very bones. The headlights of an oncoming car blinded her before turning down FM 1643 and Mark's friendly banter had taken a sudden turn for the worst, it seemed. "16 99 42 79." "Could you repeat that please m'am," The kindness and cordial tones had returned to Mark's voice. "Yeah, I'm sorry. That's 16, 99, 42, 79." "Okie Doke, just give me a few moments here.." Following the short pause, "Alright, that out to do it. Do you have a pencil ready?" "Yeah," A note of impatience hung in Corina's voice. "Your new number is 304-255-7344, and your user name is VanGart311@AllCom.net. Your password is the last four digits of your social security card. You should be able to change it once you are logged in for the first time. You will receive your AllCall information packet and installation software within 3-5 days. Do you have any questions or comments at this time?" "Actually, I meant to ask you if I could have my number unlisted?" Corina crossed her fingers and waited for his reply. "Sure thing, I will take care of that right now Ms. Van Gart. Is there anything else I can help you with tonight?" "No, you've been great Mark. Thanks a ton!"
