Sad, Pathetic, Idiotic People!!!...Freaq

I was at work the other night and before I even got to the cash register I smelled this horrible ungodly smell. It was a man and a woman with 4 kids. The lady had no bra, no teeth, no manners and no soap and deoderant apparently. I wanted to choke. People that can afford 35$ of food at Long John's can sure as heck afford soap! The grown ups and kids looked like they hadn't seen water in years. The baby looked like it had an eye infection...red eyes, water, mucousy. I felt so sorry for these kids! My mom had me at 17 and did a heck of alot better with that. Those kids had food fights, spilled pop every where, the baby threw food in the floor and they let it eat off the table! The nasty table! They didn't know who had their poopy fingers on that table that day! They had the nerve to complain about the food! They wanted more and said it wasn't good. All I said was 'That's how it all is'. I didn't complain about the odor and condition of their children though did I? Someone should have!

Debate: Do you think people should have the decnecy to at least wash themselves and raise their kids right? Do you think some people can help it? Heck, I think they all can. That's so sad...

Sorry if I offended anyone but anyone can take a bath. I smelled that woman over the fish!

Date: 2/10/2004 11:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 60052    Althought I can't debate the way the parents allowed their children to behave (because I don't have any), I do know that there is no excuse to not be clean, you can always wash up in any public restroom even if you have no money.
Date: 2/10/2004 11:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 15677    Id say if you got 35 to spend on food spend a lil on soap an maybe some shampoo gesh
Date: 2/10/2004 11:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 45397    ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!
Date: 2/10/2004 11:18:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62267    Well, did your mother let you act any such way? If you saw a child behaving that way wouldn't you look at the parents and say 'What a bunch of morons?' I would/did.
Date: 2/10/2004 11:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 54826    eww sounds like nasty people. i think everyone should wash themselves before they go out...
Date: 2/10/2004 11:19:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62267    Everyone CAN. They could. I would eat balogna and tuna before spending my soap and bath supplies on pricey food. We aren't the cheapest in town.
Date: 2/10/2004 11:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 50864    Some people are beyond help. They just don't want to be clean and will use any and every excuse to be dirty. Since they have money for eating in a fast food place.I personally doubt that they are poor. More then likely they have chosen to live this way.
Date: 2/10/2004 12:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    i think in a situation like that child services should be called.. i can say ok the woman had no bra oh well(it's a very conforming device anywyas) but to bring the dirty stinky kids out in public let them run hell and the baby being sick!! now that is is just wrong!
Date: 2/10/2004 12:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 47162    Well all we see is their "nastyness". Behind what we see may be a very sad and complicated situation. Maybe they can't get out much, and someone gave them some walkin around money. Instead of spending it on every day stuff, they spent it on some fun for the day? We really never know all the details behind what we see. This could have been the first time out of their whole terrible living situation for a long time. I know it sounds dumb to say long john silvers is living it up, but to them it might be pretty high on the hog.
Date: 2/10/2004 12:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 47162    It's just so easy to flare up emotionally when we see things like this, and we want to assume they are just scum. But how many times could someone look at what they see about us, and they could think the worst!? When in fact, what they see in us, is just the byproduct of a sad sad situation we are in.
Date: 2/10/2004 12:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 24856    Goodness, imagine the living conditions at home! Soap and water is not that expensive and in this day and age, there is no excuse for filth.
Date: 2/10/2004 12:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 48809    How sad to raise little children to live this way . I am sure that when they grow up this lifestyle will simply be passed on into the next generation and perhaps into the next one after that! From the way the children behaved in the restaurant, one can only imagine how they live at home! If we don't have enough respect for ourselves to be clean when we go out in public, then we cannot expect any respect from others!
Date: 2/10/2004 1:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 62334    As a parent of 4 children myself, its hard for me to think any parent would go out with grossly dirty kids. But needless to say not everyone tends to there kids like I do or most mothers do. Very sad for those children. Makes me sad when I see parents who you can tell they don't groom them. No excuse IMO. Some people shouldn't have children...
Date: 2/10/2004 1:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 2030    They probably just came from voting for Dean in the Democratic primary.
Date: 2/10/2004 1:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 50864    Nah with 4 kids they got to be right wingers for Bush
Date: 2/10/2004 1:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 160    Cleaness is related to mental health. That's where a person would have to start, not in the tub although it would be an immediate improvement. Somehing is very wrong, you just saw the symptoms of an uglier disease inside.
Date: 2/10/2004 2:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 47162    bcar...shut up man! lol..jk
Date: 2/10/2004 2:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 3263    Ya never know. This could've been a special night for them, and maybe that's why they spent the $ on dinner rather than on other things...it's rather sad to me. I'm sure nobody WANTS to live like that..
Date: 2/10/2004 4:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 8278    i agree with midnightly on this. it sounds like a case where social services should be called. it sounds like the kids around the corner from me. they use to come over to play with my son. they were always dirty, flea bites ALL OVER them. their hair was greasy. the little girl told me she doesn't get lunch because it's her moms nap time. there were 8 kids ranging in age from 15-1 year. luckily "someone" called social services after the 6 year old rode her bike into the side of a moving truck because she was being chased by her moms "friend". it really makes me angry when people can't take care of themselves let alone their children. i live for my evening bubble baths. i can't imagine why people would want to let themselves get that filthy...and then go to EAT?! i would be embarrassed.
Date: 2/10/2004 4:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 22080    if you can afford it, yes
Date: 2/10/2004 4:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 2030    Mrs. Strider could be right, they are middle class Americans taxed into poverty by tax and spend liberals.
Date: 2/10/2004 4:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 19772    I live in "Amish Country" and trust me when I tell you that Nothing can compare to the smell of these people. As religious as they are "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" means nothing to these people. ~Gabrielle~
Date: 2/10/2004 4:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    what they deserve is compassion. Yes, to see the children like that is sickening. I don't know if the parents are ignorant, or mentally ill. Yes, it was sickening, but what they choose to spend their $35.00 on, is not your concern. Am I condoning, or justifying their behavior? NO! I, too, was a very young Mom. But my kids were always clean, and I had my priorities on order. I feel sorry for the lot of them.
Date: 2/10/2004 5:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 51070    I think that social services should be involved with the situation. Of course, I wasn't there and I don't know these people, so I really can't talk. But if the kids are that dirty and gross, then they need attention. If they live in such conditions, they could get diseases and other unspeakable problems. That's pretty sad.
Date: 2/10/2004 7:56:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62267    LMAO @ Bcar! I still think even if they did wanna have a fun day out with a lil walkin around money 5 bucks or even 2 at the dollar general ain't takin' much outta their pockets.
Date: 2/10/2004 8:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 15319    For Gods sakes its NONE of you peoples freaking business! How do you know WHAT kind of home or lifestyle these people lead? I've walked into fast food resturants with dirt, grime and sometimes a bit of blood on me, looking like a bum who hasen't slept in weeks, but I GUARENTEE my homelife is better than 95% of those in this town.
Date: 2/11/2004 12:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 28193    JYNX..there is an Amish town not too far from where I live, and they don't even clean up after their horses...try dodging that when you drive! LOL. I wish they would bring along a horse scoop with them.
Date: 2/11/2004 3:10:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62267    Hey dark I bet you didn't stink like that though. And I bet you'd have the decency to make your kids behave, too.
Date: 2/11/2004 12:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 26363    Don't think this is a case for social services. They have far more important cases to follow up on. Who knows, perhaps they had a day out fishing with no luck and decided to eat at the chipper instead. MorningGlory
Date: 2/14/2004 11:05:00 AM  From Authorid: 15319    Actually, I probably smelt WORSE than then. As far as kids goes, the kids behavior is inexcusable.
Date: 2/14/2004 3:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 10344    I think anyone who is going to be anywhere other than there own home should have the decency to not to be offensive to others.
Date: 2/14/2004 11:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 59876    before being so rash as to call social sevices, it would be beneficial to all parties to have more information. i had a family in my program that were wonderful people, wonderful parents, very involved with not only their kids, but other kids in the program, however, the adults didn't use deodorant. it was a cultural thing. my son doesn't like clothes and i only fight him on it when necessary. to boot, his hair gets ratty and spiked in back where he sleeps on it. i can comb it out and smooth it out for awhile, but it eventually reverts back to it's nappy state. add in the marker marks he draws on himself and the spotty birthmark that looks like bruises that is all over his leg, the clothes, and the hair, he often looks like a ragamuffin, but i assure you he is clean, well fed, and happy. should i not take him in public because he has a penchant for markers, nappy hair, and a birthmark that makes it appear as if i beat the crap out of him?
Date: 2/16/2004 1:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 49539    It's not fair that you assume that they have a choice to be clean. Maybe they don't even have a home. It's terrible that you're making fun of them. Maybe they have no choice. You don't know the whole story so don't judge by just what you've seen.
Date: 2/17/2004 1:53:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62267    If I was homeless I steal a bar of soup and bath in a mud hole somewhere.
Date: 2/17/2004 1:54:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62267    I'd buy some canned food with my long johns money too...it'd prolly last longer.
Date: 2/20/2004 11:32:00 AM  From Authorid: 53054    ok i worked in a shop for a few years, and this family use to always come in and they smelt, they had showers, but the odor that came off them was just so bad that no one liked it...we had to serve these people. it looked like the dad worked really hard, and they did try to look after the kids, they brought food for the kids, but never ones did i see them buy soap, deodrant, or sweets. they brought bread, and milk and dog food, and other necarrities. but never soap....maybe they believe that feeding there kids is more important than soap. we were even going to buy some for these people, but we thought it would seem rude. there is little anyone can do about this!
Date: 2/25/2004 8:28:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62267    Maybe they should sell the dog and buy those necessities with their freakin' dog food money.
