So many times people don't believe in God because they didn't get this or get that. Or because something in their life failed. Basically because they didn't get something out of it. but is this really the reason to have faith?
Isn't faith more about what it can get out of you? Isn't it supposed to turn you into a better person? Not necessarily make your life all rosey and pristine, but rather it makes you into a person who can handle life when all isn't rosey and pristine. Faith should change us into people that can give things to others, instead of changing us into people who know how to get things out of the divine power we call God! To me my faith is about me becoming like Christ, it's about God getting all the stuff out of me that rebells against me becoming like Christ. Sure I may not get perfect health and wealth from my GOd. I may not get a problem free life, with no losses. But in the big picture of things, what matters most? Getting all the stuff, or becoming like Christ, so I can be a blessing to others around me?
