I don't want to be a whiner, oh woe is me whine whine, but a lot of times I get the short end of the stick. I got really ticked off today. I take a Stage Make-Up class and in class in the beginning of the semester our makeup kits were still not ordered yet so the teacher had us make masks. He told us that there would be a little incentive in making them. There was a masquerade ball that was held this past weekend where our masks that we made in class could sell. Well since when is a Theatre Make-Up class all about making Mardi Gras type masks I don't know, but that was what we did. He said that our masks can fetch as much as probably $20. I'm going to get back to the masks in a second.
So pretty much (this class is only on Tuesdays and Thursdays) it is known that all we are going to do in class is fool with those masks until those makeup kits come in. So I came to class sometime last week or the week before and the teacher asks me if I have my kit, they are in the school store now. Well he said I can leave class to go buy it and I get there and there are no more, well there are but not for me. There are different kits for different complexions, I am a 'light' kit.
Well they didn't have a 'light' for me, I was the last to know that the kits were in so I was odd one out. Well he said there was no reason for me to come to class if I don't have a kit. I ordered it online and chose the cheapest shipping because that's really all I can afford and the fastest shipping was $17.50. So I missed a week of class (2 days) and I had to make those up by coming to class with make up done as the ones I had missed. Well he'd ask before he told me not to come to class because of the kits that I give him my masks at a certain date if I wanted them to be sold at this masquerade, well I gave him those masks 3 days EARLIER than he asked for them to be gotten to him.
Well today in class he hands me my masks...I didn't understand. I'm not conceited or anything but I produced 2 masks and one was admittedly mediocre but the other one was great! He said he forgot about my masks. He left him in the office the whole time. And worse he added that the minimum made by everybody was $30! So he's going to on Thursday give everyone their loot. I'm so mad! I think he should give me $30! I can't believe this, and he's just-a going to hand every body cash on Thursday. Grrrrrrr
