unplug the phone from the wall before you go to bed or have someone monitor the calls made to your house , OR , change your number but I don't think this is a huge problem . love always , |

I just remembered my mom had this same problem. She didn't have caller id and the *69 was not available in our area, however she contacted the phone company. They put an intrappment on the phone. All she had to do is write down the time and the day/night and they could find out who it was. It was a free service. Could be something that you could look into. |

This brings me to the past, circa 98. I broke up with this guy and surprise surprise got prank phone calls galore. Well it got to be really bad, but these people (yes people) were stupid, they were leaving messages on the machine and the cops loved that. It was actually some scary stuff left like necrophilia related messages. The cops called it 'stalking' It was a long drawed out ordeal....cont. |

When I was in fifth grade, this one person kept calling our house and whenever we answered, didn't say anything. It really freaked me out. Finally, my dad just bought me one of those air horns. The next time the freak called, I blasted that thing into the phone - he never called back after that. Get an air horn and see if that does the trick. Otherwise, do what the others said and call *69. |

for the last 6 years Someone would call my house around 3 am and not say anything! We had even moved and they call our new phone number! sometimes they'd call twice a day and on the caller id it would be unavailable so we had those type of calls blocked. they haven't called since! but it's weird some people have too much time on there hands to bug others for no freaking reason |

Sounds like it could be a fax machine, something is not right there. I know when I work midnights, sometimes I have to send faxes, and if something was programmed wrong I would be the nut at 3am. :D Try hitting star-69 like some of the others had suggested. Sorry this happens to you, I know that when I am in a deep sleep I don't hear a thing, like in about 5 hours after this midnight. :D |

it's a fax machine or automatic phone dialer (for advertisment) We've had this happen before and eventually, it realized we weren't a fax number and they stopped calling. |
