Poems are too personal, give him a stuffed animal with character or knock on his door armed with a pizza and video. |

LOL..it's hard to shop for guys on Valentines isn't it?? Last year I bought my fiance a stuffed pug dog..cause he wants a real one, but we can't have pets..so I told him it was to last him till we get our own house where we can have a real one. I thought he'd laugh at me, but he thought it was really sweet and he loved it..so I'd say get into his head..find out what his interests are and what he likes and get something associated with that..nothing a guy likes better than to know his girl really listens and knows him. This year I made my guy a homemade card with my own poem written inside and of course a full page of the "mushy stuff" that he "tolerates" LOL..I also plan to make him a basket up, filled with candies and a few small bottle of Captain Morgan's rum (his fave) and some coca-cola..and then some scratch off lottery tickets and just little stuff like that that he enjoys but doesn't always have the money to just buy. |

i agree, poems would be very personal. i like the pizza and video idea. any man would love that. lol. or you could find something little yet sweet. something subtle. maybe a little teddy bear holding something. hmmmmmm...it's hard to decide unless i know the person. i always have a tough time picking out gifts. lol |

You know him better than we do, so do whatever you think will make him happy. V-day sucks. |

LOL..now I didn't say it was any good...I just try to do something different each year that ties into something he realy enjoys. In the case of this years present..it's just cause he's really sacrificed alot like not going out with the biys to spend time with me and support me while I'm in school..and he's had to deal with alotta emotional crap from me lately due to my stress, so I figure a few stiff drinks are his dues right now. :) Plus, he's always talking aboiut wanting to win some money..hence the scratch offs..I might even throw in a few genuine lottery tickets..wouldn't that be awesome if he won the Lotto off of my gift?? |

I hate valentines day. I always just end a relationship or I'm just starting one so it's awkward. lol It never works out for me that I am actually in a secure relationship on v-day. |

I wouldnt give him ALL the poems you wrote him, but maybe pick a special one and have it framed and give him that one. You are kinda dating, kinda not, so you dont want to bombard him with a pile of poetry. |
