Lol, i had my ear pierced (then closed up) twice aswell, and then i had them repierced last april. Did your piercing come with an antiseptic spray? if so, spray that on at least twice a day to keep it clean. About turning the earrings, I haven't heard anything about that.. but i always turn mine. I guess he meant you should make sure your hands are clean or soemthing. I havnt had any problems this time ! |

I used these little alcohol wipes and rubbed it around the piercing. They really help if they are infected. |

Could you be allergic to the earrings? Try to put 14 karat earrings in the piercings and continue to clean them and use antibiotic ointment on them. I think by turning the earrings, you keep the crust from forming on the earrings and make scabs not form around the earrings. My grand daughters ears started getting infected and when we put real gold earrings in them. their ears healed easier and faster. Good luck. Walmart sells real gold jewelry (10 karat which is still good and probably won't hurt your ears) pretty inexpensively. |

yes you have to turn them, but only after you clean them. Dont use peroxide or any kind of alcohole use neosporine or polysporin. Put a little bit on the stud then turn the stud to make sure some goes in then whipe around the ring with a tissue so that theres no left over neosporin or polysporin because any that is left over can keep air from getting into the piercing. Also never use a cotton swab or towel on your piercing because some pieces of cotton swab can get caught inside ur piercing and cause infection and towels a loaded with germs. Oh! and always wash your hands before touching or cleaning ur piercing. Good luck *hugs* |

well, to clean the inside of the hole, i was told it was okay to put contact solution on a q-tip and swab all around the holes (both sides) and rotate the earing so the solution gets inside (where infection would occur). Contact solution works because it's a bacteria cleaner, as odd as it might sound to use it on your ears. I did that when I got my ears stretched and i never had a problem. To keep just the outside clean, take some epsom salt (a spoonful) and put it in a cup or bowl of warm water. kinda mix it up and let each ear soak in it for about a minute. DON'T twist the earing arterward, this is for outside care only. I'm very familure with these things.. so if you do this twice a day, you'll be okay. |

Whatever you do, DON'T use neosporin because that will only make the hoel close up because it is used to heal. I had problems too and the doctor told me to use alcohol and to turn the earrings. |

Also, don't use peroxide because that distorts the color on your earrings |

I have my ears pierced 13 times in each ear, used to have 14 in each, I have gone through ALOT of trial and error, and I learned its best to do what PROFESSIONAL body piercers say, do NOT twist it, do NOT use Alcohol, peroxdie, neosporin or anything of that sort, the best thing to do is soak your ears daily in sea salt, or epsom salt, use 1/4 teaspoon to 1 cup water, soak for 5-10 minutes and rinse well, and never touch them with out washing your hands, if you'd like more info I'd suggest bodymodification.com |
