It is a made up story pure and simple. if they actually sat down and read the books or watch the movies they would understand Harry Potter is all about fighting the dark side, not working with it. But people are just too closed minded. |

I have wondered if all of these parents and people that are so against the "Harry Potter" books are also denying their children all of the old beautiful fairy tales; i.e. Cinderella, SnowWhite, Grimms Faery Tales and on and on. These beautiful stories are full of magic. That is why children have loved them for centuries. I see a "Dark Ages" looming in our future, if some people don't get some sense around this world> Love and Light |

I think Harry Potter is a wonderful fictional book. I don't think there's anything wrong with letting a child read it. |

seriously i dont get people who have issues with this series ... its fantasy!! it entertains kids and helps them to use there imagination and enjoy reading. when i was a kid i used to read stuff from the Enid Blyton collection, anyone familiar? about faires and goblins and a magic faraway tree ... i loved them and they encouraged me to read. i know for a fact the harry potter series would do the same for me if i were a kid |

No, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the Harry Potter series. I've read every book and I've seen every movie. lol I'm a Christian, and I can't honestly see how anyone (Christians included) could possibly label this book as evil. I thought the hype had died down, but I guess since the new movie is coming out in June, we'll have to face it again. |

I think that the people that are against it are looking WAY too deep into it. I mean, honestly...most normaly kids after reading Harry Potter, are not going to go running to the nearest bookstore to buy a book on Wicca and witchcraft/magick, etc. It is a fictional story where the bottom line is choosing good over bad. |

I don't see anything at all wrong with the Harry Potter books and like the rest of you I think it is wonderful entertainment for them and helps them to seperate fantasy from reality. I guess I don't understand why some parents refuse to let their children read these books ... but will let the minister teach these innocent children about "Eternal Damnation"! If this monstrous lie doesn't traumatize them, then I don't know what will! |
