in the city that I live in we do not call Animal Care and Control for barking dogs...they instruct us to call the Police.....I will admit I've called both on people before for not looking after their animals properly.....and I would do it again in aheartbeat. |

Call the SPCA. I think that is what they are called. I believe it's the state agency that looks into abused animals. |

By the time the police get here the dogs have resettled themselves. The Houston spca said that they can not come into our city, but yet we are in the same county. We have a 3 dog/3 cat limit in our state but yet none of these official organizations can do anything about these problems I am facing. Their famous last words...Call someone else who can handle this for you. What a crock! |

I have spoken to the owners, they believe that it is none of my concerns in this matter. They also feel that they have a God given right to pound 4 inch nails and additional wood to my fence, shooting the nails through the slats. I foud one yesterday with t-shirt whole mowing. I quickly removed all additives they felt their dogs deserve. I wonder how fast the city would respond if the nails had been hammered in from the other direction. My guess is,pretty fast! |

Hmm seems the other comment had been deleted. Well in that case if they are using your fence as part of thier own then remove your fence as you are "planning to upgrade it" at a later date. If thier dogs run loose in the neighborhood then you should call the pound or shelter. They cant tell you to leave your fence down as it isnt thiers. If the dogs need assistance in digging grab a shovel and dig below your fence to allow "Hogans Heroes" to escape. |

Call the news station. Video tape footage of these animals even if you have to go through the inconvenience of staying up all wierd and crazy hours. Send the tape in to the local new station and tell them what you have been told by EVERYONE you have contacted for help with this problems. Cause the biggest stir you can with anyone. Call ALL of them constantly and keep driving them crazy they will eventually do something about it. |

have you tried shooting the dogs? just kidding! seriously, i would call the police and the video tape idea sounds pretty good to me. i had the same problem about 15 years ago with neighbors dogs. these dogs barked at air. they were afraid of firecrackers though, so................yes i did. i got fire crackers. my neighbor made "homemade" fire crackers and we would set them off and the dogs would run in under their owners house and stay for hours. after a few weeks of this, all we had to do was go to an open window and clap our hands a couple of times and the dogs would shut up. yea, it might sound cruel to some people but some us needed to sleep. it was a 24-7 kind of thing. |

Yes, I think Azaryah has a good idea. I would call the Animal control officer and demand that he do something about this noise, if he refuses or says it is out of his hands then I would ask him how he would like to be the main topic on the 6 o'clock news tonite! Where I live we have someone on the TV station that will investigate these things. Be sure to mention all the names of those that you contacted for help and who "passed the buck!" You might also ask the animal control officer why the tax payers are paying him a salary if this is not his job! |

If The ASPCA,, Won't Get Involved, Or The police, Mayor, Animal Control, etc...I Would Film it then take it to Your Local Media News Station... This Should Give The Humane Society And Other So Called Animal Protection Groups An Embarrsing Wake up Call..I Wish You Luck..And I Just Wouldn't Allow Your neighbors to use You Fence, either....Best Wishes....T/C.... |
