It's booked and I can hardly wait!..............................LSR

Today I booked this year's holiday.

Ad and I are going to Carcassonne in the south-west of France. Carcassonne is a fairly large city with a difference, off to one side is the original mediaeval walled city, on the whole intact.

Inside the walled city are many fantastic ancient buildings dating back hundreds of years. Close by in the Bastide Saint-Louis area are more ancient houses and religious buildings....a true feast for the history lover.

I have a LOT of research to do before we go (unfortunately Ad doesn't speak a lot of French) so that by the time we get there we know exactly what we are looking at and the history surrounding it.

We are going at the end of May, so look out for the photos on our return. I hope to learn a lot and live a little history (I am sure I was born a few centuries too late!)

Huggss
