My sister has had two kids and she called them Phantom Pains. If it worries you, yes call your doctor. Even if it is nothing, better safe than sorry! Congrats on your new little one on the way! |

That could be alot of things...how far along are you? I think I remember reading that Braxton Hicks contractions occur mostly in the last trimester. If it was real labor you would defenitely know it. That is what my doctor told me and until I was actually in labor I had no idea what he meant but you defenitely do know it. Could it possibly be gas or indegestion? Maybe your stomach stretching from the baby getting bigger? I know with my last son I had alot of pain from the scar tissue from a previous c-section being stretched. It is probably nothing serious but I would talk to your doctor to make sure. |

I'm 28 weeks along. I'm just kind of worried because I read about some women who experienced pain that they thought was braxton hicks and when they went to the doctor they were dilating and they had to get a shot to stop it. I'm probably just being paranoid. |

I had contractions all through my second pregnancy and had to have a shot a few times to stop them. It is normal to worry especialy with a first baby and the closer you get to delivery the worse it gets. I would just let your doctor know he should be checking you at every appt pretty soon to check for signs of dilation. You only have a few more weeks to go where a delivery would not cause many complications though. I had my last son around 33 weeks and he was perfectly fine...a little small but still healthy |
