My Favorite Movies

I like old fashion love stories. If you do too then you HAVE to see "A Walk To Remember", "Serendipity", "One Fine Day" and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". Those are the only ones I could think of right now. "A Walk To Remember" is my number one love story. It's true that it is about seniors in high school and you might think it's a kid kinda movie but trust me it isn't You will cry your eyes out. OK for you non-love-story lovers you have to see "Butterfly Effect". I only saw it because my friend and I had nothing else to do and that was the only one that was playing at the time we got to the theater. (we're spontaneous) After reading the little preview thing in the movie booklet I did't want to see it at all because it sounded stupid and too weird for me I don't like weird movies. But my friend wanted to do something so we wasted the money and saw it. I was shocked at how good it was. It really was the best "weird" kinda movie I have ever seen in my life. I recommend it to everyone. Kutcher does a great job in it you would never think he could play that part as good as he did. OH YEA a word of advice.....DO NOT NOT GO TO MOVIES JUST BECAUSE YOU SEE ONE STAR IN THE NEWSPAPER. MOVIE CRITICS DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE HECK THEY ARE DOING. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT GOOD MOVIES ARE. After I saw Butterfly Effect I went online to see the reviews and stuff because I never heard of it before i went to the movie theater. They only gave it one star and said it was awfull????? I wanted to strangle them. OMG I forgot the best one! 10 STARS FOR "FINDING NEMO". If you have not seen that you should be ashamed of yourself. It really isnt a kid movie at all to tell you the truth I just went along with my friends I honestly thought it would be a stupid 10 dollar wasted movie. I watched it about 20 times since then (including 6 times at the movie theater). It really is the best Movie ever created. I cant believe i almost forgot about it.

Date: 3/23/2004 6:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 55582    you told us your favorit movies, well mine are Titanic, Finding Nemo, Selena, Spider-man,
Date: 3/23/2004 6:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 37101    Professional movie critics critique movies very differently from the average movie-goer, solely because they're professional and have a whole different criteria. Their opinions are valid but opinions can differ. Like, for instance, 'Lost in Translation' with Bill Murray got rave reviews from the critics and I thought it was horrible. Same with 'About Schmidt' with Jack Nicholson. It's all a matter of opinion and opinions often differ. Just because you're professional doesn't mean you sit on a high throne and tell everyone what to think. -

Date: 3/23/2004 6:50:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27799    critics dont tell people what to think....the public allows them to make up their mind for them. the public has to learn to stop listening to other people and make up their own minds
Date: 3/23/2004 6:58:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27799    DEEP END OF THE OCEAN is another one I forgot. Don't you hate when you can't think at the moment you want to but remember everything you wanted to say after the moment?? ggrrrrr
Date: 3/23/2004 8:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 29387    I just like to write reviews, because I wanted to find a way to combine my two favorite loves - writing and movies. My opinion sits as evenly as every one elses'; I just write mine out. (By the way: I liked the Butterfly Effect, Serendidpity is one of my favorite romantic comedy-dramas EVER, and, well, you just can't say enough good things about Finding Nemo.)
Date: 3/23/2004 10:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    movie critics have to know something they are getting paid decent bux to go sit watch a movie and do a report on it, they tend not to give teen movies rave reviews-- it's all about movie tastes, for example i honestly didnt enjoy finding nemo as much as many others have(dori sorta annoyed the heck outta me!!) i found a walk to remember very sweet and serendipity sweet and predictable these movies didnt have a ton of depth to them they were popcorn movies compared to something that is a work of art or a thinking movie or a dark comedy where the jokes are more then just surface humor
Date: 3/24/2004 5:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 28989    I agree with you about the critics. I've gone to movies they raved about, and I couldn't wait to leave the theater. "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" in the '80's is an example. I didn't walk out, but I almost did several times. Three hours I will never get back! "Beyond Borders" was another one that left me feeling empty. I could have cared less about any of the characters. I've seen some movies in recent years that I really liked, only to find out that critics hated them!
Date: 3/24/2004 5:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 28989    Oh, yeah, I don't usually like romantic comedies, but I did like "My Best Friend's Wedding" and "Four Weddings and a Funeral."
