You promised me you’d love me You promised me you’d care But this isn’t a life This I cannot share. My heart, it has been taken You cradle it in your arms Please handle it with care Or my love will be gone. I once thought I lost you And, honestly, I didn’t mind But then you’d come back Just to see what you’d find. But I am not worth looking for My soul is forever broke Don’t try to put it back together Because I have lost all hope.
