Daelian let out a scream as she dodged the attack from the Shadow. Korick took a few steps back, holding the staff up and beginning to chant. Daelian grabbed her sword from her belt and picked up one of the bags, throwing it to Quaron.
Quaron looked confused as Daelian began to yell to him. "There are weapons. Get out what you need, and throw me another sword or a spear!"
Quaron nodded and bug into the bag as the Shadow flew toward Daelian. She let out a cry as she swung, hitting it in the arm. The Shadow let out a loud screech, making Korick have to stop to put his hands over his ears. Daelian took her own hands away once the screech stopped, seeing the Shadow coming back down toward her.
A spear flew by, piercing the Shadow in the side just as it was about to reach out for her. Quaron held another spear in his hand and small knife, smiling at the Shadow as it let out another screech. Quaron ignored the sound and kicked another sword toward Daelian.
Quaron held up a hand, a light shining around it. "Russe tuulo' moriloomir!"
Korick flew forward as lightning flew down from the sky all around them, knocking his staff from his hand. Daelian winced in pain as the Shadow screeched, the lightning going into it's body. Korick took a couple of deep breaths, trying to get his body to move again after the surprise attack. He crawled over to the staff, which had broken in the attack. He frowned shook his head, trying to chant without the staff.
The Shadow flew up into the air, trying to heal itself from the attacks. Daelian watched as it pulled the spear from it's side and began to come back down. She let out a cry as she flew to the ground, trying to avoid the point of the spear. The Shadow let out another screech and Daelian pulled herself to her knees.
Quaron let out a scream as the spear went through his shoulder. He gasped, feeling the bone crunch under the metal.
"Quaron!" Daelian screamed, running toward them. She put one of her swords into the Shadow, not caring that it wasn't going to do much damage.
The Shadow hit her hard, sending her flying. She hit the ground a few feet away, crying out in pain as she tried to get up. Quaron pulled the spear from his shoulder and turned in time to see the Shadow pick Daelian up by her neck. She struggled, trying to get out of it's grasp. She screamed as the Shadow stuck it's long claws into her.
Quaron watched in terror as her eyes widened and her body went limp. Her face began to turn pale as the Shadow dropped her onto the ground. Korick let out a yell, telling Quaron to do something. Panic was flowing through both of them as Quaron jumped up onto a rock, his eyes filled with determination.
"Tyara harwar!" Quaron yelled and a small blue ball flew from his hands.
The Shadow seemed to scream louder than before as it caught on fire. Korick watched in wonder as the Shadow turned to ash and floated away in the air. Quaron jumped down off the rock, wincing in pain. They both ran to Daelian's side, Korick taking her head in his arms.
"You've got to heal her!" Quaron yelled. "You're the healer. Do you're thing, Priest-boy!"
"It's not that easy!" Korick cried, holding back his emotions. "I can't heal poison. And that's what it did to her. Wounds are one thing, wounds are on the outside. But this is something that's inside her blood stream. My magic won't do a thing."
Quaron took a few deep breaths, frowning. "Then we need to find an antidote for it."
"And just where do you plan on getting that?" Korick asked. He had heard not long ago that antidotes were hard to find since the Shadows came around.
"They'd be on one of the Shadows," Quaron frowned. "We're going to have to get it from one of them. But we need to get her somewhere safe where she can rest, or she'll die before we can get the antidote."
