Over 300,000 people died as a result of this nuclear accident. People were evacuated after the accident. So, not everyone died but as you saw no one lives there anymore...IsisKat  |

About to go look at he link you have provided to this terrible example of what can happen to a nuclear reacter. It is well to remember that the cloud of radioactive rubbish it chucked into the atmoshphere spread as far west as Canada. I know they still test for radioactive components in Scotland, soil, grass/plants and animal and birdlife, it initially died down as short term radioactivity faded, but the longer lasting particles found their way up the food chain and is still there.  |
