Over the past few weeks I’ve noticed that a phrase or thought would pass through my head, and moments later someone else would say. I try to maintain a level of skepticism when it comes to psychic abilities (keyword: try), but this has really gotten me curious. It’s not something new to happen, but before it began occurring a lot of late, I would shrug it off as a coincidence. Because of all this, I have a couple of questions. One, should I continue considering this a coincidence, or might it actually be ‘something.’ And, two, if I do choose to believe that this is more than a coincidence, what could I do to better this ability, whether it is “reading minds” or “implanting thoughts”—or a mixture of both.
Perhaps I should give an example. Today I was at my grandmothers when we were talking about how I had cooked a meal that was just as good as my grandfathers. Immediately, I thought, “I’m giving Grampa a run for his money!’ but I didn’t say it out loud because I don’t use that figure of speech. However, seconds later my father said nearly the exact same thing.
A similar event occurred in Literature class with an individual with no relation to me. Perhaps I should start recording these occurances?
