Even as a non-christian, this movie *almost* moved me to tears (I don't cry at movies AT ALL), mostly because this is the kind of stuff that a LOT of people during that time had to endure (unfair prosecution, harsh judgements, beatings, torture, death in humilating ways...) this wasn't just one person who had to go through this. It was common practice in those days. And then in Mideavil times they had even worse tortures. I once went to tour a torture museum in England or Belgium I don't remember where, but I remember the horrific devices used to torture people. AND sadly but true, stuff like this still goes on to this day. May all your days be torture free. Peace |

I was deeply impressed with it as well - you are so young. Wish I had viewed it at your age (I'm 72 years old now) - all these years I always felt that He was God - he couldn't have felt it - but, he definitely did and was described in the scriptures as well. RAT |

I can't watch it again. I saw it once and once was enough. It's too much for me, I don't have the strength to watch this movie again. My gosh, the torture he went through. I felt so guilty when I left the movie. I just wanted to go home and lie in my bed and cry. |

I am so proud of fellow Catholic Mel ! He made the whole christian world proud with this movie . People who saw it kept on saying THANK YOU JESUS over and over . The movie was NOT an exaggeration . Jesus did receive 5,040 blows through His whole ordeal and I think that Mel pretty much showed most of them . Razzy aka |

I don't think kids should see this movie, it's very graphic. I can understand CW why your parent won't let you. |

I am so glad this movie inspired you to learn more about Jesus Christ :) I went and seen the movie with my younger brother (14) and he is going through a "leave me alone" stage and gets angry when I talk about faith... well he agreed to go with me and he had tears in his eyes and I seen how it effected him, and I was so glad. The movie was very intense but very good! I couldn't watch some scenes (put my head down) because I felt my heart in my throat... it made me really stop and think about this life and what it truly means. I thank God for Jesus and love Him very much and only hope in the days of "testing" I am strong enough to call myself a "soldier" of Christ :)... good post ((hugs)) and if you ever wanna chat about this or anything, feel free to message me! |

oh its a powerful movie alright. If you take pleasure in seeing a simulation of our savior being beaten. There are so many scriptual errors in the movie, its a movie for catholics by a catholic. Me, i focus more on his glorious rising, than being beaten up. |

I work for my money and never waste it, therefore I have no intention of seeing Mel's graphic interpretation, I've seen enough horror in the REAL world without paying a cent to view more, based on one's own interpretation. Based on what I've read, it isn't logical and could never have happened like this. |

I DON'T get pleasure in seeing our savior beaten, Knightmare, but Him being beaten is part of the reason He rose from the dead. It was His destiny, His wayof letting everyone know that He loves us and would do ANYTHING to prove it. |
