"The folks next door".....kronk

"So cold, cold, cold...like a tombstone..." (*She's so cold* by The Rolling Stones)

Only time there's any light is when the moon glows.

Spirits...they won't speak unless the wind blows.

When conditions get right, I'll spend my night

in the garden.

Row after row, after row, after row-

Day after day..He reaps..We sow-

What? Your sensibilities shocked?

Beg your pardon.

When no one had the time, I went.

To hear "them," I was heaven sent.

"So lonely in the dark," they scream

and I did harken.

The world transformed..the markers bent-

The dead sprang forth..their shrouds, they rent-

She's, and he's, judges and theives..

Some new and some were olden-

In the long, cold hours before the dawn-

We sang and danced...We rattled on-

No ears could hear..No eyes could see

My friends only appeared to...me.

(Lonliness? What do "you" know about lonliness?)

Date: 4/5/2004 9:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 53836    this kinda reminds me of that story you told me while you were in the hospital about your 'experience' ... Wouldn't it be great to dance with the spirits in full view :) Super flow, Pops :)
Date: 4/5/2004 9:20:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    One of the many things that I love about you, SpaceCase, is your sensitivity. Good Lord! If I'd have had a "Sony Walkman" back then, they would've probably lynched me for sacrilege. As it was, the music in my head was plenty enough..*wink* Thanks for stopping in, lady..:)
Date: 4/5/2004 10:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 50499    Once again you have amazed me Kronk. Keep it up. :) DragonFlyer

Date: 4/5/2004 10:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    Very good! But that last dance, we do alone. "Jackson Brown" Nothing ever spoke to me like that. I've watched it happen and push against that day, "that last dance". Surely it is lonely and one we will all have to reconcile with. Aww, my mood is dark right now, but for sure, I've given it lots of thought..
Date: 4/5/2004 10:23:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Dark moods and aging rock n rollers. Certain songs..Their meanings crystal clear. Young children and portable AM radioes..Playing and dancing for "Christ on the cross" and the ever- grateful dead. Bless us our thoughts, Brenda. Thank you for stopping in, my friend...:)
