I was spending the night at my sister's, and was the only one awake at the time. I was reading on the couch, when I heard footsteps coming down the hall from the kitchen, in hard-soled shoes. The floorboards in the living room creaked, as though someone heavy were walking on them. There was a rocking chair just next to where I was sitting, and I heard someone sit down. The chair started rocking, but no one was in it! I was too scared to move. I just sat there and watched. After several minutes, the chair stopped. The steps walked out of the living room, back down the hall, into the kitchen, and stopped. I told my sister of this in the morning, but she hadn't heard anything. How it changed my life:I was always interested in the supernatural before my experience, however I was very skeptical of most 'encounters.' Now, I am a firm believer.
