Hearing his foot steps descending the hall, Torn and abused, she feels to tired..so very small. Into the dark, her screams pierce then night, Sending cold chills as they give you such fright.
You think to yourself, enough is enough, this time she might die, because of his stuff. What do you do to aid her plight? Close your doors and turn off the light?
Her muffled screams you still hear again and again, if you do nothing, will be your mortal sin! You think, "oh my, oh dear", engulfed in your fear, You have to do something you have to change gear!
You pick up the phone and make the call, feeling your pride, you then stand tall. Sirens wailing, piercing the night, you watch through your window, still feeling your fright.
The men dressed in blue, crash through the door, her screams have stopped, you hear them no more. You watch and you wait in agonizing pain, Terror and remorse..praying she's not been slain?
Your heart starts to smile, as she walks through the door, you see her shake her head as she mouths the words, "NO MORE"! She catches your eye and walks to your side, she looks up at you with tremendous pride.
Tears falling from eyes now turning blue, she whispers softly, "I know it was you." You feel her pain, seeing her so sad and broken, but her life was saved...you conquered your fear She was saved...by your words spoken.
