Later Kayonielliae was walking to her cottage with Tayoher.
"That was funny what you did in class today, Kayo," said Tayoher.
"I wasn't trying to be funny. I was just telling the truth," replied Kayo.
"What? You mean you don't believe in Minafiornin?!"
"Why would I? That story is impossible. Sorry to tell you this, Tay, but it's just not true. The elders made it up so that we would all have more pride in the land and be more willing to fight if a war were to rise," claimed Kayo. Tay looked stunned. They came to their homes and parted in silence.
When Kayo walked through the door to her cottage, she was unpleasantly greeted by her mother.
"I recieved word from Sir Eagle," she said.
"Already?" ask Kayo.
"Surely you didn't think you could beat the pigeon here, did you?"
"I thought I'd try."
Her mother laughed and forgot what they had been talking about. She waved Kayo off. Kayo skipped into the sleeping quarter. She lied down to take a nap. Kayo found that her thoughts wouldn't settle, so she went outside.
