the question is, however, why do you fear intimacy? Why don't you want to have a relationship? |

I just read an article I think on the Drudge report, about a German couple who went to a fertility clinic after 8 years of marriage..they were rather surprised when told they had to actually have sex in order to conceive a baby..so it is possible not to have sex..even when married! |

Personally, I feel that there has to be a strong motive for why you choose to abstain from sex. For me it is faith in God and respect for his commandment. Otherwise, I doubt very serious if I could hold to such a commitment. |

It is possible, if done for the right reasons and not out of some kind of fear. |

Of course it is possible and it has nothing to do with a fear of intimacy. You can share your whole heart and being with another person but you don't have to have sex to do that. I am not sure why everyone is equating sex with intimacy, if you read in a thesaurus other words meaning the same thing are : closeness, familiarity, understanding and relationship. No where does it say you have to drop your drawers. |

Absolutely it can be done, and you don't have to feel any loss over it, either. |

I think it is possible. I'll be 25 in August and haven't had sex. I figure I have enough stress in my life without having to worry about my sex life. |
